Last minute trip tips welcome

My husband and I are looking to take a quick trip to DL the week of Oct 12 (the busiest week!). I'm thinking just 3 days. This time we are sneaking away and not taking the kids. (mwahahaha)

We're looking for a hotel right near the entrance so we don't have to rent a car. We've used the ART in the past and that was kind of a pain.

Thoughts on where to stay?

All DL Resort Hotels are sold out. What are the chances some of those rooms will open up with cancellations??

....do some homework then come back with your choices and folks will give you input.....your dates so close, I think it will be hard to find your choice.

All of the hotels on Harbor are pretty much the same.
Nothing special, clean, close.
We have stayed at the Carousel Inn, Anaheim Fairfeild inn, Best Western, Tropicana, they all seem to be about the same.
As for getting a room in one of these on short notice you might not be able to get a room. I recommend if you don't have park tickets yet and do have a Costco card see what you can get from Costco travel.
You get a little more with them than just going with DL travel.

Just remember most hotels in the area have shuttle service, anywhere along Katella or Harbor should be ok.
