WOW…..in 25 days we will be in S. Cal and we can’t wait. We are going to San Diego the first part of our trip. Which park would you recommend visiting between the San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park? Our kids are 9,7,4, and 2 in case that helps with your recommendation. Would it be advisable to go to both? I really probably only want to visit one or the other unless they are both “must see”. Kwim? We also will be going to Sea World. Then heading to DL for four days and ending at Legoland!

Also, all the rain and flooding that we see on tv is really scary. Is the flooding affecting the DL area? I hope that everyone out there is staying safe!

Does anyone know if Fantasmic will be showing Feb 6-13?

Thanks for reading and answering if you can!

Didn't get to the wild animal park so can't comment, but the zoo is a must.

It's superbly laid out in a way that lets you get very close to the animals. Instead of walls and bars they use a lot of glass walls and so we had apes, tigers etc all sitting right against the glass.

They also use underwater glass walls so you can see the polar bears and hippos swimming which was amazing, and then there are the pandas, which is reason enough to go on their own.

I think your children would prefer the San Diego Zoo. You are able to get closer to most of the animals.

Another vote for the zoo, here. :D

I hope you have a great time and that the skies will be clear for you! :flower:

There hasn't been any flooding in the DL area, it's up in L.A. & Ventura counties. That's mostly due to there being so many hills, which means a lot of mudslides. L.A. wasn't built for wet weather and any time it rains, or even sprinkles, everyone goes crazy.

My mom lives in CO, and she called me worried because she said on :guilty: the news it looked really bad. As I'm looking out my window, I'm asking her what she's talking about! :confused3 LOL I haven't been keeping up with the news lately, so I checked it out after talking to her and was sad to hear that a couple people fell victim to the storm. :guilty:
