Just talking to my DW and DMIL and thought of a quick 5 day trip from Oct 10th (Sat.) to Oct 14th (Wed). What are the chances of getting a 2br now? I would like AKL, any category, but am flexible at this point.

While it is no guarantee, the room availability thread seems to imply your chances are at least reasonable. Check out the thread for October here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2050895

That's Food & Wine Festival and I'd your chances were not good. If it were just Fri and Sat night, it would be better odds. But by adding in Sun, Mon and Tues, your chances just went way down.

What about 2 studios, or even a 2br at SSR or any of the others. I just closed on my resale Friday and am adding on first chance I get.

50 points at VGC

&

75 to 100 at BLT or AKL

I am usually a better planner! :lmao:

Studios and two bedroom villas usually go first. One bedroom villas require double the points as a studio, yet have the same amount of space. Thus, they are usually the ones left over. Two bedrooms go quickly because of larger groups staying at DVC.

I have not done measurements... but it seems to me that my one bedroom is considerably larger then my studio!

Space - meaning sleeping spaces. Should have clarified that. Both sleep four in most cases.
