Hi Dis'ers!

I'm an LA resident and I want to do an overnight trip to Disneyland to check out the Christmas festivities. It would have to be on a weekend - ideally Saturday/Sunday, but I could do Friday/Saturday if that's all that's available. I want to avoid the extra crowded weeks, so that leaves the weekends of Nov. 16-18; Nov. 30-Dec. 2; Dec. 7-9; or Dec. 14-16. I'm thinking I'll probably decide which weekend to go pretty last-minute, based on what weekend works for me and my friend. My question is, I would REALLY like to book a room at the Grand Californian during my stay. Is it possible to book a room for one night fairly last minute at this time, like a week or two in advance? Or do I only have a shot at getting a room if I call and reserve it now?

Thank you so much!!

If I were you I would try for Dec 7-9 as the nov.16th is the first weekend they're having the christmas parade and fireworks so it's expected to be busy, and the december 2nd weekend is the candlelight processional thing and I think you'll have a better chance of getting a hotel room for the december 7-9 weekend. The thing with the hotels is it's a hit and miss, you can call one minute and they have no availiblity but call back ten minutes later and they have three rooms available. I don't want to say you'll have no trouble booking last minute because I don't know, but I think you might be alright if you try and go for a less busy weekend.
