last minute trip for 4 nights - where to go???

DH has to meet clients on a last minute trip next week so my dd and I of course are taggin along!!!

I have a 3yr old and we plan on doing AK, MK, MGM and maybe TL. I already looked to rent points which is what I usually do but they are all booked up. I am debating between AKL, Contemporary or Port Orleans - all have availability. WL was my first choice but isn't available for all days for a standard room. She does love animals so the AKL seems to be a good idea but with only being there for 4 nights has me worried we will spend too much time on buses. I don't want to pay anymore than $200 a night. I will try to get AP rates but have to call to see if there are any available.

My dd and i stayed at AKLlast Oct and we loved it. The buses were better than the other buses and we wasn't long on them like i heard from other people and i have stay at POR, All stars and CB.AKl is now my favorite resort.

If we don't get a Savannah room, is there anyway to see the animals. Are there other areas to stop and look outside. Thanks

never stayed in AKL but did visit it,,,,believe there are areas where you can see animals...know someone here will help you out with this.

but if you are only staying 4 nites, I feel it is better to be closer to attractions.

how about CR wing room or possibly staying at Dolphin...

There is a path that takes you around to see the animals. When we visited the resort, we went out there and read the signs describing the various animals that were there, etc.

I think we are leaning towards a CR garden room at this time. We love Chef Mickey's and Ohana's so for only 4 nights we are probably better off right near the monorail.

I would pick AKL or POR/POFQ. We were stayed at the CR last Dec--south wing and it really needed rehab, which I see it is now sch for.
