Last minute trip and lots of pixie dust!

We decided Dec. 27 to make a quick road trip to DW. We all had off until Jan. 7 and had to bring our son back to college anyway ( 10 hour drive from Texas to Tuscaloosa) so we thought we would take a big detour and see the new Fantasyland. We usually plan our trips at 11 months out, so this is really crazy! We planned on using Marriott points and got reservations at Springhill Suites. We checked DVC. nothing available, but no surprise there. We kept trying just for fun and ended up getting 3 nights at VWL! We also got ADRs at Whispering Canyon Cafe, LE CELLIER, and 50's Prime Time all at decent dinner hours. Not sure how this has all fallen into place, but I'll take it! . DVC and the restaurants all had nothing available so we checked a lot online, and it worked for us!

Yes, my oldest is a Bama sophomore. I will probably have 2 kids there next year. Roll Tide! We leave tonight. It's going to be crowded, but we'll just be happy to be walking around there.

SWEEEEETTTTT!!! ROLLLLL TIDE!!! We are die hard Bama fans here. My son got into Alabama, but decided to go closer to home here in MD. It was exciting though to get that "YOU GOT IN LETTER" though.
