On another thread I posted, someone mentioned Last Minute Travel, which gives you a discounted hotel price but doesn't show the hotel unless you're a member. I clicked over to the site, and they're doing a free membership right now. Just thought I'd let you know in case it comes in handy. I don't know if this is a great deal, or if they do it all the time, but you might as well sign up if it's free!

I love LMT. Someone recently posted about the free club 2-3 weeks ago as well. Here is the thread:

We also love LMT. I think I am the person you are talking about who mentioned it. When we stay at Fairfield Inn we always use LMT now to get better rates.

I'm confused, I follow the link and it says membership is $49.95?:confused3

Solved my own problem, there is a discount code on the main page!

Thank you, Carol! It did seem to have a good price on the Fairfield, but they only had a standard two queen available when I checked. I am definitely bookmarking LMT, though!

We always get the two queen so that is no big deal. After you book the hotel, just wait until a week before you go, call them directly and change the bedding type. They are actually really good about that. Once we could only get a king through LMT and that doesn't work for our family of 3, so we called a week before our trip and changed it to two queens without a problem.

Use this link: https://www.lmtclub.com/secure/login.html?registration=true&promocode=LMTTRS912CLUB

It already applies the promo code. The one in the OP does not. I signed up 3 weeks ago, and it did not ask for any CC info. I search using the regular and the club and see which has the best rate.

Just tried this link and it told me the promo code was invalid.
Edited: just found code PREBLACKFRIDAY

What does the club give you anyway? I already know the trick to seeing the exact hotel before booking. Does the club give you anything else? Lower rates perhaps?

Lower rates. Usually about $10 less than what is quoted on the regular site.
Good thing they have another promo code.

Thanks to all for the link. I did note that when you are logged in it only shows hotels with members only rates. You need to log out to see other hotels, such as the DLR hotels.

Also, if you go to the website on a mobile device, it will show you the name of all the hotels, even if you are not logged in. -- Suzanne

Correct! This is why I always check it both ways.

True...the hotels are not blocked or un-named on my iPad.

I guess I was already in their system as a member (free) because I have booked with them before. I never realized the prices were slightly lower if I logged in.
