We leave early Friday morning. I'm working today and tomorrow, so I get to run around like a chicken with it's head cut off after work to make sure everything is ready in time. We are mostly packed, just waiting to pack things we still need.

That said, any last minute packing/getting ready tips? Or just tips in general?

thanks! :Pinkbounc

i always make them and make sure i look at it! actually, as long as i have my camera, tickets and confirmation numbers for hotel and car etc... i figure i can buy whatever i forget.

Make sure your cases are packed with everything you don't need on the flight or the night before, double check them again, then lock them in the car so you know they're there (seen so many trip reports where one case gets left in a bedroom :rolleyes1 ), and while on the subject of packing don't have one case each in case the airline loses one - divide everyone's stuff by the number of cases as far as possible and put a bit of everything in each case. Also, while its great in theory to make each member of the family responsible for their stuff, send them out of the house to do a last-minute chore and have a sneaky count of socks etc. (especially for DH :rotfl2: )

Get your carry-ons ready too - try to get one of those organiser wallets for passports, tickets, vouchers, booking confirmation - ANY piece of paper you need. And don't forget things like chargers for phones and games, camera batteries etc.

Final tip - remember to have fun! :rotfl:

Lucky for me...there's no silly DH to worry about ;) Just me and my DSis. That's a great idea about packing some things in each other's suitcases...I already put her pajamas in my case because hers is already stuffed, maybe I'll do some more switching around tonight. We also each have a change of clothes in our carry-on.

Relax, smile, enjoy, and have a wonderful time at Disney!!!! :earsboy:

- its too easy to get wrapped up in "what did I forget" and no matter how hard you try you will forget something, but the good news is you will be AT DISNEY so its all good anyway -

We had a very early flight (on purpose) arriving at CBR at 11am. Knowing we would probably not be able to get into our rooms, we had everyone wear their swimsuits under their clothes so that when we got to CBR, we could just relax and swim until our rooms were available. It was a GREAT idea! A few hours later, we got our rooms, unpacked a little and spent the rest of the day and evening in the parks.

We were on our way to the airport when my husband remembered that he didn't bring his logon and password to get the boarding passes printed for the return trip. Fortunately he has a good memory, guessed and got it right. We flew AirTran and you have to go online and print your boarding passes 24 hours before your flight.

I took a mini sized permanent marker to mark off the days used on the back of our hopper tickets. I tooks scissors (not on my carryon) and used them to cut open coffee packets I brought with me. First time I remembered to take these things.

The best things I brought were little pocket sized guides to each park that I found on mouseforless.com. I printed them off on different color paper for each park and they folded up small enough to fit in my kids' pockets (11 and 14). They loved searching for hidden Mickeys or looking for things the guides mentiong. They were a huge hit.

The other thing that I always bring (don't laugh) are clean white mis-matched tube socks. I put them on my water bottle before sticking it in my purse. It keeps the water colder and prevents everything in my purse from getting wet. I throw them away at the end of the day.

We used Bodyglide this trip (kind of like a stick anti-persperant or deodorant) that keeps your feet from blistering and my husband always gets chaffed on his thighs and it helped him too.

I wore a jacket around my waist every day and was so glad I had it when we went into somewhere air conditioned, and it got very cool in the evening.

We have 3 cases all carry on. Any idea how I can get the airlines to let me take a pair of craft scissors and a nail clipper? Can i give it to the air hostess or check thoes two only in an envelope!! None of us want to check in bags! We lost 2 of them last trip!!

I had a pair of folding scissors in my bag when we went to frnace in August - I forgot to take them out and no-one noticed either way  because they just show up as little circles!

Ring the airline and ask - my husband's aunt had a small knife confiscated - she takes it everywhere to cut fruit when out and about
