We leave tomorrow for our first trip to Vegas. We're there for a week. 5 nights at Caesars Palace. 2 nights at The M Resort.

Friends are joining us for the first 4 days. We like to gamble, they do not. We have a few things planned. High Roller Happy 1/2 hour at night, Love on Sunday, a day trip to the west rim of the Grand Canyon and dinner at the buffet at Paris after on Monday.

We want to make the most of our casino comps earned playing at home. We have points to use at any CET property and at The M or Tropicana.
We usually just wing it on vacation but having never been to Vegas, I have a feeling that I need to at least have some ideas

Not a big gambler here so can't help you much on that regard... But Buffet of Buffets is one thing I really look forward to in Vegas. It's a 24 pass of indulgence :p

Local here...

If you can, I would skip the Paris Buffet and go to The M on Seafood night. Many locals regard the M Buffet as the best in town including what is available on the strip. The only other Buffet that is better is Bacchanal at Caesars (but more expensive).

What other tings were you looking at doing?

You don't have time for this, so it's not really a last-minute tip, but next time join MyVegas on facebook (they have android/iphone apps too) and play the slots on there for free. You can literally just set them to run in the background, and you'll start accruing points that you can trade in for things like free buffets and stuff. I've gotten Cirque tickets, food, and on our next trip we'll get free rooms, so it's worth spending a few minutes to set up an account!

We are going to Paris as part of the Buffet of Buffets

We would like to see a comedy and maybe a magician.

Has anyone seen Paranomal?

Where's the best place to find older video slot machines? We will have a car and willing to drive

Agreed. Skip most of the buffets on the strip. Other than Caesars most are pretty poor. The Paris breakfast buffet used to be good but has gone downhill.

Walk through Bellagio to back conservatory-free, changes periodically.
Walk through Venetian, shop at Caesars. Love the high roller happy hour!
We ziplined on Fremont street (so fun) but that may not be for everyone.
