Remember to take a warning triangle, GB sticker, headlight deflectors, high vis jacket & spare bulbs as this is the law in France.
Stick to the speed limits as they fine you on the spot if caught & could take away your car.
Remember there is 2 speed limits on the motorways, one for dry weather & one for wet weather.
If you have a Sat nav, it is always good to have a back up copy of the route in case your sat nav stops working. AA, RAC, Via Michelin are all good sites.
It is an easy straight forward drive, it just gets a tiny bit confusing around Charles de Gaulle airport but if you happen to come off there by mistake just keep on the bit of road & you will get back onto the motorway
Make sure you have either Cash or Credit Card ready for the toll booth and an awake passenger to be able to pay them (bewteen 15 and 19 euros depending on time of day)!
Oh and when you hit Charles de Gaulle airport it's about half an hour away
Thanks everyone, i'm sure DH will be fine. He's used to driving in France but we haven't been there in a long time and didn't know about the stuff we need to have legally so thanks for the tip!
