Does anyone else start to do this? I am making myself nuts wondering if I should scale back on some ADRs or if I have the right selection for us. I just need August to get here. How do you know its perfect and just stop worrying? Help please
Here is what I have
8/3 DTD no ADR
8/4 Ohana Breakfast (MK no ADR)
8/5 DHS 50s PT Dinner
8/6 EP eat in WS
8/7 AK Tusker House breakfast...Boma Dinner
8/8 DHS Mama Melrose F!(my big sourse of contention- with crowds and a 4 and 6 year old should I do it just for the lesser wait)
8/9 EP San Angel Dinner
8/10 MK Kona Cafe Lunch... Dessert party
8/11 Boma Breakfast

I can't really answer your question on if you have the "right" number of ADR's, I think that's really different for everyone. I am very OCD (I think WDW has made me that way :)) and I need to have each and everyone mapped out. Seriously...last year I had all but one meal mapped out and it was as though we were completely lost, we ended up at chick-fil-a at like 930 at night...long story. Anyways, back to your original question yes I totally believe that doing the fantasmic is worth it. Mama Melrose probably will not be the best meal you will ever eat at WDW but it won't be the worst one either. We enjoyed our meal but would I go out of my way to eat there again? Probably not and one of the main reasons is that I like the other sit down places in HS better, espically 50s PT. But that's just me, I would try it at least once though.

You seem to have one ADR per day in most cases (8/7 is the exception), so it doesn't seem like a lot of ADRs. My family likes having a sit down meal (or two) per day because it's a chance to relax, re-group in an air conditioned place.

For your 8/6 day (Epcot), I would think about making an ADR. There are a lot of choices, but most of the popular ones fill up pretty quickly. Alternatively, there are a lot of good CS places in Epcot.

Regarding the Fantasmic! Package it really depends on your family and how much they want to see Fantasmic!. Having the voucher means less waiting in the August heat...but it does commit you going on that day. As the PP said, it won't be the best food of your trip, but hopefully it'll be good. With small children it will let you bypass waiting in line as long, so that by itself might make it worth while.

Thanks, not sure why I second guess it. Not like its my first time. I just get nervous as I get closer. We like to have some ADRs but with kids, we still do a break each day.
I do want to leave the first EP day with a chance to eat around WS CS places a bit. We do enjoy that and I never seem to have time to try snacks that are so popular.

I want to see Fantasmic and I see no reason not to go to DHS that day(I always stick to my planned day.) I guess its reviews that are scaring me. Its the kids wait that I have it at all otherwise we would just figure it out.

I've had our ADRs set for months now. This morning, I was reading the DIS and started freaking out about the choices I was so certain of. :confused3 A good talk with DH reminded me I picked everything for a reason and I should stick with it.

FWIW, I dig your choices! :thumbsup2

We did Mama Melrose two years ago with the Fantasmic! package. We didn't do the package last year because we didn't do any night activities that trip. This trip, we are doing night stuff again (F!, Electric Light Parade, Wishes, etc)

I booked the F! package again using Mama Melrose, only for two reasons. We don't do signature yet (we decided to wait until the kids are older) and Hollywood and Vine was HORRIBLE when we went. Characters were great, food was downright nasty. I had to keep going back to try different things until I found something edible.

That leaves MM. All I remember is that the food was decent. Not wow! outstanding, but okay. I don't remember what I had, and I even went back just now and looked at the menu. DH says he has the same impression of the restaurant.

So, I booked MM mainly for the F! package which is SO worth it. Great seats, and don't have to show up so early! DH and I both agree that part is worth eating at a so-so place.

Not worth eating at H&V,though.:rotfl2:

Thank you, I do think the wait for F! makes it easier. I am going to stick with it. I appreciate everyones input
Honestly, I thimk its the frugal side of me coming out that makes me question it all now that I am getting close and have to actually pay for all of these:(
