Going with my fam soon- turns out one person will need a scooter due to a walking (long distance) issues. What is the protocol for lines, do we just do rides as planned? We don't need to do anything special, right? He can walk, but not for more than a few minutes due to an ankle injury.

Most line you can take the ECV in the line a few you will need to use a wheelchair they will have one for you. Even few let you will need to do something else. It is very easy

Sometimes it's hard in the scooter to get to the greeter to find out what to do so you can always have a family member walk up and ask while the person in the scooter hangs back. Also be prepared for the question of can the person transfer out of the scooter into the seat, can they do a few steps up or down (like into a boat) and will the moving walkway need to be slowed or stopped. CM's may ask those questions closer to the point where you board the ride. If the person needs a scooter more for the long distances, it is fine to park it (usually park in the stroller area) and go through the ride que as usual. Some ride ques (even with a fast pass) can be more of a walk than others thats for sure!
