Last-minute ressies

If you've ever made a last-minute DVC reservation, how last minute was it? A day or two, a week or two, a month... what are your experiences?

I may have an opportunity through work to be in Florida (don't know where in Florida just yet, but knowing my company, it could be in Tampa or Orlando) starting next week and on days off I want to go to WDW. If I have consecutive days off, I want to use my DVC membership for acommodations if necessary.

Any experiences/advice?

Wow, talk about last minute! We just realized that our kids have a 4 day weekend in October and decided to use some points we have banked. I called Monday to get a 2 bedroom, and was not able to get anything the night of 10/10. We did get OKW and backed up one night so the kids will miss one day of school. They made it sound like I got the last 2 bedroom available for that time period. I guess you will want a studio but I don't know if those are easier or harder to get. Try as soon as you know the dates. Also, I ordered MNSSHP tickets for us for the 8th......We can't wait......good luck, Lacee

We have booked last minute, meaning the day before on several occasions. It never hurts to call.

I walked in one day and asked if they had a room. I got it! So sometimes they do have a room .

Found out tonight I'm not going to Florida... I'm a little bummed, but the location I'm going to will allow me to see the in-laws, so that's good. Thanks everyone for the info! Maybe someday!
