Last minute ressies at VB

Decided to extend first trip home to SSR by going to VB THur, Fri, Sat in JUNE probably in a studio or ocean view inn room. Now that I see all the great deals for AP holders and Disney Visa I'm thinking of not booking on points but doing a cash ressie for VB. Is this risky to wait until the last minute to book and wait for a great deal? Is VB that hard to get into last minute if I do have to go on points? What is the best deal you've seen- I have seen a studio for $109 a night, any better than this to hold out for?

We were going to head over early a few weeks ago and I called CRO and was offered an inn ocean view room for $138-tax included using the Disney Club discount.

This seemed like a pretty good deal to me.

June may be different. I don't know if I would chance waiting to book a cash ressie.

The current offer at Vero with Disney Visa is $99 for a studio. This ends 2/4/04. I'm not sure whether they'll offer deals in June since that starts to get into "summer" which books well at Vero.

If you have the points, you might want to book with points and then, if a deal comes up, you can book that and cancel your point reservation.

as long as I cancel 30 days in advance their are no penalties correct?

To cancel a points reservation, you must cancel 31 days prior to check-in to avoid points going into the holding account. (If the 31st day falls on a weekend or holiday, you have to cancel by the preceeding day that MS is open). You'll also have to consider your Use Year and whether you'll use the points this year or need to bank. If you'll want to bank unused points, you need to make sure you cancel before your banking deadline.

If you are paying cash with the Disney Visa Card Special you have 6 days before to cancel your ressie.

I know, I just had to cancel our impromtu trip to HH Talk about a Thanksgiving bummer.

That is a bummer fenceman! Sorry to hear that! But look on the side, you now have extra $ you can plan another trip with...To me lots of the fun is just in the planning
