Last Minute Ressie...AKV..Which Savannah?

I have been on the waitlist for an extra day on the front end of my current ressie. I called for an update.....Still nothing at BWV...BUT...there was availability for one night at AKV with a savannh view. While I have never done a split stay....I've also never stayed at AKV. I'm really excited! Any advice for which savannah I should request?

Okay, tell me about Arusha.

Definitely Arusha. It is the largest savanna and it appears that most of the animals congregate in that area. We once had a room on the Uzima Savanna and we rarely saw animals. On the Sunset Savanna, you can see the construction on Kidani Village, so it isn't a favorite of guests. When you check in, ask to be on the Zebra Trail or Kudu Trail. Both face the Arusha Savanna.

I'll be at AKL in 3 weeks, first time, and didn't even realize there are different savannahs! Should I add this as a request to my reservation or wait until check-in, or both? I will be in a 1-bedroom. And are there different times of the day that there are more animals out and about?

Both. I would call MS and add the request to your reservation and definitely mention it again at check-in. It can't hurt.
