This is my 600 up in posts and I think this is quite fitting.

I think that I have most of my iten planned and most of the needed thing for me and DW, DD, DD to go a week on Saturday.

But i would like to throw this open to anyone who can think of any last minute quirky easily missed things.

I would be most grateful. :3dglasses

Cancel the milk and papers?

Suntan lotion?

TSA locks?

Dollars?

Passports, driving licence etc?

Hoilday insurance documents?

Just a few things that spring to mind but I'm sure you have thought of them all already :)

Hairbrushes - we forgot ours, but a trip to walmart got us some very nice ones at a fraction of the cost here! Don't worry you can buy everything and more over there. I was shocked at Walmart - they even sell car tyres!!! It's like Asda, Comet, Homebase, Kwik Fit, Boots all rolled into one!!!

However, don't forget your important docs (as above) or theme park tickets!

Oh yes, and the spare empty case!!

Covered everything so far, we even have the Halloween outfits for the girls even though we couldnt afford MNSSHP. I think they can wear them in the last few days in Disney for the evening.

Got Both parts of D/Licence, passports, dollars, tickets, still waiting for docs from holiday company, got Nationwide Credit card (Still makes me laugh they feel the need to issue us a gold card- we are civil servants!!) Step up transformer, kids clothes, our clothes, breakfast bowls (Dont ask), rucksack, extra suitcase.

Phew

We DO need the "BA Baracus" style Airline Flight stress control. I love aviation and spend hours emersed in the thing but i dont like flying! :confused3

Remember the wet wipes in the hand luggage! great for sticky fingers after : the trolley dolly has already done her rounds. Great for adults too. Have a fantastic time

spoons to go with your bowls?

Addresses for postcards preprinted on labels?

Just off the top of my head, things I threw in last month....

Watercamera, watersocks, suntan lotion, Earplugs, Sudoko books for the wait at the airport & in the plane + a pen! Copies of passports, tickets, etc and all the important numbers.
Travel sickness pills/asprin, bag of sweeties, loose dollar change for tolls.
Battery charger & cables + plug & adapter

After my recent experience of having half a carton of orange juice tipped in my lap on the plane, I would say a change of clothes in your hand luggage :rotfl:

Adaptor plug, tissues, pens, pencils, pack of cards (for whiling away boring hours on the plane and at the airport).

And, after the weather we had last week, I would say an umbrella too :rotfl2:

JJenguin,

Watersocks? You mean like the little wetsuit type things?

Copies of the Passport? Who will need these?

Cheers

We found a small torch useful for reading the park maps in the dark evenings.
Hot water bottle - mine has it's own passport it's so well travelled.

Watersocks - for the waterparks

Copies of passports (and themepark tix and travellers cheque references) in case you lose the real ones

Take some decent headphones to listen to music and watch the films.

We are buying the headphones from the airline, the US Airways inflight is superb in relation to most in the sky. Disney Channel and the Cartoon Network for the brats and all sorts of other normal films and TV channels for us.
There is no way i am prepared to penny pinch on that, all can be paused and restarted when you want. The less people are prepared to pay for headphones and this service will be quicker out the window.

Just checked October schedule and we have:

Films etc

A Love Song for Bobby Long
Beauty Shop
Crash
March of the Penguins (Narrated by Morgan Freeman)
Mr. and Mrs. Smith
War of the Worlds

and among some i have never heard of are more familiars such as :

The History Channel, ESPN, VH1, RAI, HBO, BBC World, Cartoon Network, The Disney Channel and Nickleodeon.

hiring a car?
We took plastic beakers, Bought a polystyreene coolbox once there & kept in in the boot of the car, permenantly filled with ice & soft drinks. Wonderful when you come out of the parks.
Also took one of those folded cardbord windscreen thingys! Kept the car a little cooler & made it easier to find in the car-park.

Took a few pool toys but we were staying in a villa not an hotel. so only had a small pool.

flip-flops or poolshoes for the water parks the concrete there gets very hot on the feet. Also old t-shirts to swim in. We got our only sun-burn on our 1st visit to a water-park, despite using very high factor sunceam.
you can take the coolbox into the water park provided you don't take in any glass.

Drivers License. 3 years ago I left my wallet at home because my husband was carrying all the travelers checks and credit cards didn't figure I would need it. When I got to the airport they asked for my ID and I just about died. :worried: Had a heck of a time getting through security!
