Last minute questions....

hi,

getting ready to leave in a few days, i have some last minutes questions i couldn't find answers to in the search box.

1) Best place to stand/wait for parade/fireworks at night while in DL?

2) Best place to stand/wait for Fantasmic! ?

I think the best place to watch the fireworks is from the castle side of the hub, a bit over to the left so that you have a clear view of the castle and the Matterhorn. If you're on the right the Matterhorn is blocked by trees. Right on the edge of the hub's curb if you can, since that makes you a few inches higher than those in front of you.

Fireworks viewing is pretty good from anywhere on Main Street from the Camera shop to the hub, but you don't get a good view of the projections on the castle or the Matterhorn. If you get back on Main Street, especially on the left side, the fireworks can get blocked by trees.

For Fantasmic!, my favorite thing is to wait until the first show is over, and then go stand behind the light tower/control booth that's pretty much center stage. About 10 minutes before the show the tower rises into the air and you have a great view, though it's a little better from the left side of the tower than the right.
