well everyone I leave in 20 something hours....but I have no more access to this board after noon today (tuesday) as I will be WAY too busy trying to get everything i have to finish Done before 6pm so I can get some sleep before we are picked up by our towncar in the middle of the night. That being said....

I just have one last question (a new concern that lady with chequebook created for me....) all of a sudden my DBFs mother decideds (today) that me and DBF are going to go solo from her and his sister...Great no problem, gives us more freedom and we wont have to put up with his sisters attitude. Then she says oh by the way would you be so kind as to write me a list of which rides to do first at each park so that we can avoid lineups???

What is she thinking I ask myself....how can she ask this task of me on such short notice??? I still have things to do!!!!

I now beg of you to tell me which rides get long lines the fastest in
MK: Splash & Space mtns, POC, BTMR, Dumbo?
AK: Kali Kilmanjaro safari
BB: Summit plummit?
TL: Crushngusher (because its new i am guessing)
DQ???
EP: MS,TT, SE
MGM: RNR, TOT

Those are some of my guesses. but I am really looking for a list of what I should be doing FIRST at each park. Please let me know (we will get to each park at opening)

Like you need this stress! lol... I think you may get varied answers but here's my opinion:

MK:
Fantasyland
First: get FP for Peter Pan or Pooh
Ride Dumbo
Small World
PP or Pooh (whichever you Don't have FP for if the line isn't long)
Philharmagic (or if line too long, get FP for later)
FP ride from First (Peter Pan or Pooh)
***Philharmagic if not done yet
Get FP for Space
Ride Buzz
Break for snack
Ride Space
Get FP for Splash or Big Thunder
Ride the other
Ride the FP one.
Haunted Mansion
Get FP for Jungle Cruise
Ride POTC
Ride Aladdin
Ride Jungle Cruise

AK:
Kilamanjaro Safaris
Get FP for Kali
Bug's Life
Ride Kali
Get FP for Dinosaur
See Tarzan
Do rest of Dinoland if choose
See Lion King

STUDIOS:
FP RNR
Ride TOT
Ride RNR
FP LMA Stunt Show
Star Tours
Indiana Jones
Backlot Tour
(Great Movie Ride and Animation Studios can be done later in day imho)

EPCOT:
FP Test Track
Ride M:S
Ride TT
Do World Showcase, left to right, riding attractions and shows as they choose. This way you still get to El Rio del Tempo and Maelstrom early in the day.

I can't really give you any advice on the others as we haven't done the water parks or DQ. I've heard the POTC ride in DQ gets a long line pretty quickly though. pirate:

Good luck! Remind them, that even with a plan, you still have no control over what the ACTUAL conditions will be so please don't get mad at you if they get stuck in lines longer than expected or they aren't able to do everything as fast as they'd hoped! We often break up MK into two early mornings and *sometimes* a few hours in the eve. One morn we do FL, TomorrowLand and Toon Town, the other we do Frontierland and Adventureland. In the eve we do whatever we missed, want to do again and/or stay for the Fireworks/parade.

In Epcot, if you are on-site, I'd try to get to EMH morning to do M:S and TT. I've been reading that people have had trouble even getting FP's for TT. So that should be #1 priority there. The same strategy can be said of the Studios if you are really focusing on RNR and TOT. It also depends on what they REALLY want to do.

Good luck!

I found some great "Cheat Sheet" here on the boards. Try doing a search on Park Cheat Sheets and print off copies based on the expected crowd levels when you are there. They look pretty good and it should be fairly quick to do. Have a great trip!

If you can PM me with your e-mail and I can send you my touring plan for all the parks I made up used it in Early June and saw almost everything with little to no wait. I will keep checking all day until I get your message. It is in the form of a Word document and have no idea how to attch it to an E-mail or PM here

Would you mind sharing with me? I'm looking for a "plan" too, but I don't know how or which way to do it.

Thanks! :sunny:

Agree with other poster about MK -Except that it you get there early, you might not need FPs for PP/Pooh. We got one for Buzz because after we rode it, wanted to tour and come back and play again. We toured over 2 mornings, and on the 2nd morning, rode Indy Race cars 1st thing (and Dumbo 1st thing on the 1st day).

Slight variation on above recommended AK. Keep in mind, we went during Easter, so our crowds were growing by 11 AM, and really minimal before that.

Get there within 1/2 hr of park opening (we got there at 8:30, 8 AM opening).
Ride Safari right away (should be no wait, no need for FP)
Go See Lion King (first show was 9:45, we got off Safari a little after 9)
Get FP for Kali (wait time was 90 min.)
Bug's Life -- 1/2 of us skipped and went shopping and toured DinoLand
Ride Kali -- You'll be wet, so best to go at end.

Flights of Wonder and touring grounds are a nice option if you want to stick around.

EPCOT - Get FP for TT (we got there at 10:15 and return time was 4 PM). Check out Crush at the Living Seas, then hit WS when it opens at 11, starting with Mexico. Ride Mexico little boat ride, ride viking ship at Norway then walk right through and skip movie, see movie at Canada. We ate lunch in Italy (yum), completed WS and went back to ride TT.

Didn't do water parks, and only a 1/2 day at MGM, so no real recs. Timing the shows at MGM is tricky, we saw Little Mermaid and Fantasmic and enjoyed both. Indiana Jones, new Stunt Car Show, Beauty & Beast, Tower Of Terror (?) all highly recommended.

Hope I made your deadline. Have a SUPER MAGICAL TRIP!!!:wizard:

Um, I may get flamed for my response but, here goes. Do you have a plan for yourself? If not just say "I don't even have my plan together; I thought we'd figure it out together". If you do have your plan and don't mind running in to them copy yours to give her. If you'd rather not run into them then reverse your list.;)

Skip the headache she's created and have DBF stop by a book store for the Unofficial Guide. That should keep her busy and it has the plans in the back just like you need. It should save you a lot of trouble all the way around. If you don't have it, you might even read it yourself until you arrive and then give it to her (or just those pages in the back!!). Have enough fun for us all!! :bounce:

Excellent idea. I may use it with my future in-laws! :rotfl:

Love them to bits but 2 weeks in 1 villa with all of DF family plus several extended members including 3 kids may prove to be my undoing!

i have a general plan for myself but since her daughter is a snot nosed brat just wants to know "what gets busy fastest" which is fine by me. I am using most of this information for myself and then thinning it out for Ms Hatestoplan.
