Last Minute Le Cellier!

My husband told me on Sunday that he would love to go to Le Cellier when we go to EPCOT this Friday. Naturally, it is all booked up. Here are my 2 questions:

Is it better to check the online reservation site or call every day for a cancellation?

It is ever possible to walk up or should we just eat elsewhere?

I would check online multiple times a day. A walk up at LeCellier...only heard of 1 report of it happening in the 2 years I have been on the boards. As for our experiences....didn't happen. Nieces, friends, anyone I know has never been able to walk up either.

May make a suggestion of equal or perhaps great quality then Le Cellier. It is very close by and my hubbys' favorite place for a romantic meal together. The Yachtman Steakhouse at the YachtClub Resort. All you have to do is go out the back gate near France and over the bridge to the Beach and YachtClub area. I enjoy that quiet romantic walk very much (maybe five minutes-not too long). Every meal we have had there was perfect! I would attempt getting a ressie there instead.

Thanks for the suggestions! We ate at Yachtman's many years ago, but I may look into that. Will keep trying Le Cellier in the meantime.

We have gotten into LC right at lunch opening without ressies. I would suggest going right at opening time for lunch, rather than dinner.

Just keep checking online. We booked a late lunch there this past Saturday evening, for this Sunday(11/21/10) afternoon.
