Hi, my husband and I are having a date night during our trip which is right around the corner. Literally. I am would like to do/add something really special to the night but since I waited until the last minute, not sure what options I have to surprise him. We are having dinner at Teppan Edo (also there during the F&WF so assume the park will be "lively"). I would really appreciate any ideas/advice that anyone is willing to offer. I work full time, have 2 tots under 3 and do not live close to family or any help so I feel like all my efforts go into the girls or better yet, just surviving. Unfortunately I get so caught up with work and the girls (our LO that is MSPI, egg allergic), that I have neglected my DH (whom deserves so much more). Any ideas? Thank you!

You could try the Epcot After-Hours Wind Down. It is pretty reasonably priced and I have seen good reviews. There is still availability most nights at the 4 locations. We are doing it at La Cava and Tutto Gusto for our upcoming visit.

The Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party is another option, but it may be a little late to get something during F&W. It is also a little more expensive.

Try the tequila sampler (4 shots of tequila on one platter) at the bar inside the EPCOT Mexico pavilion at La Cava del Tequila.

Head out the international gateway and go to the dueling piano bar on the boardwalk. It is a lot of fun.

I agree with kidanifan as well. I just did the after hours event at Tutto gusto last week. It was pleasant and relaxing. And strolling out of the park an hour and a half after it closed was pretty cool.

Thanks! Made a ressie at Spice Road. I think the after hours is a good idea. Jelly Rolls is another good one. I just have an issue with their entry fee. I would much rather spend that money on drinks in the park. Maybe I will lose that attitude as I really should. Sounds like it's a great time.

Didn't I read that there wasn't a cover charge at Jellyrolls if you showed your DVC member card?

Have you ever been to Teppan Edo? Not sure if you were looking for a "romantic" table for two but tables are set up for eight, so you may be seated with six other people. MY DH and I ate there this last August and we had fun with our seatmates and their children but it's not a "romantic" place if that's what you were planning.

Yes, have been to Teppan Edo before so we know what to expect. I am glad you guys had fun! I am looking forward to it!

No admission fee if you show a valid DVC card.

So we just show our DVC card at the door? My sister and I were just talking about this again today. You mean to tell me that we could have been going all these years without that silly cover!!!!?

All we need to do is show our DVC card at the door and it waves the cover? Is this for each person in the group? There will only be just us so not worried about a group but just curious for future trips.

This would be awesome! I love Jelly Rolls but the price to get in is insane.

As for the original post. If you are going during F&W you could just make the event your date night. We skipped a formal dinner and just ate and drank around the world. We did it last year we picked up the passport and bought a bracelet gift card to wear and tried something at every booth. It was lots of fun and we felt like it would be a challenge. We enjoyed being away from the kids for a few hours and We left the parks full and a little tipsy.

You just changed my world with that info re: Jellyrolls!

Following this thread as I want to plan a fun night for my DH as well!
