last minute gift for 13 year old boy

Funny how similar some of the boys mentioned here are! My DS is 13, loves music, loves root beer. Plays drums in the middle school band, loves iTunes.

He would LOVE some IBC with cash. I think that is wonderful!

He recently got a gift card to a "boutique" toy store that I know he won't use. I told him I will give him cash for it and then I will use the card to buy a birthday gift for my friend's little girl. That's why I think cash or a gift card that doesn't have to be used at a specific place is perfect!

MY DS is only 10, but he would absolutely love the root beer and cash! How did your nephew like his gift? My DS asked for bottled Coke or root beer in his stocking. Our photographer that did our family pictures gave him a bottle of Coke out of an old fashioned Coke machine and it was all the bomb to my DS. So, I bought a six pack of bottled Coke and will put 1 bottle in the kids' stockings. I think I'll wrap a $5 bill around one bottle for each of them. They will love it! Thanks for the idea!

Thank you for all of your input. My nephew LOVED his root beer/cash gift--he hugged it all day and must have thanked me twenty times. I don't think he would have liked the wii game as much!
