Last minute fastpass+ for Soarin

Going to Epcot for one day last minute. Can I get a fastpass ahead of time for Soarin if I'm not staying at a Disney Resort? If not, what are the odds I will get a Soarin fastpass first thing in the morning on Jan. 2nd?

You can book 30 days in advance if you have a valid ticket linked to your account.

If you mean trying to get one same day, you might have an issue.

I just tried and could get FP for 2 from 7:15-8:15pm. I don't know how likely it would be to get one if you wait any longer though.
