Okay....grrr.

We had our budget all set at $250 below minimum (expecting to possibly meet the minimum with any extra expenses that might arise through the event).

Today is officially 15 days out and I have found out that one more guest is not coming. This will put at us roughly $375 below budget.

So...do we just have to suck it up...or is there anything we can add last min to make us closer to the minimum...so we are not just giving away $350?

Are there any unexpected charges I should think about having to pay?

Thanks!

VK

I would hate to have to suck up having to worry about handing over $350 and not getting anything for it...at one point we had to come up with 14 or so dollars...that was a challenge.

Not sure what there will be for last minute extras...or things you will need that day...but maybe you could add a chocolate fountain to your DP? Bulk up your vendor meals? Does it have to be food? Mickey ears? ask your WP...they have all sorts of ideas!:thumbsup2

I added floral and splurged on a couple of towncars which I hadn't originally planned on at the last minute...I also added on an extra hour for the caricature artist on the spot - he was amazing!

honestly if for some bizarre reason i had to spend that amount i would either add more cake or more flowers! hey - better to be under than over! :)

what about some type of decor? Maybe linens? What about Mickey rice crispy treats for people to take as favors?

Do any of you have experience adding things during the last two weeks before your event? Thanks,
VK

I'm less than 2 weeks out and my planner has been accomodating with additions; and if you add something that puts you slightly over the amount you've already paid (final payment), they just take it out of your deposit (if your having a Wishes wedding) or send you a bill. HTH!

Are you doing a wine or champagne toast? If not you could add this. Or you can get a bottle or two of the Iron Horse Fairytale Champagne for you and your bridesmaids, that would at least bring you closer. I would deff. find some way to use it!

Thanks all. We went with a DP photo package for $350. It's the right amount....and I was a bit worried about not getting good pics of the DP...so win win! ...and my planner let me add it. :)
