Has anyone here ever booked a trip with short notice? We're coming Feb. 4-10,2006, but I can't book until Jan.(when I get my taxes) So, we'll have like 2 weeks notice.

How will I get my tickets and everything? Will they be mailed or will I pick them up at the hotel? Can I still do the Disney thing at the airport?

Please help :confused3

we do short notice trips all the time (we live about 3 hours away and are passholders). it just depends on the availablity of the rooms at the resorts. but in february it shouldn't be that bad.

i think that it depends on the type of tickets that you are getting. if they are regular magic your way tickets (not a passholder ticket - if you order that ahead of time you'll receive a voucher card in the mail for it, otherwise you can just buy that at the gate),

they will usually add the magic your way tickets on to your resort id card if you order them ahead of time in order to get a resort package deal (so you just use your resort card instead of getting one of the mylar paper tickets). otherwise, you can just make reservations for your room. then, order your tickets when you check in to your resort, or buy them at the gate when you get to the parks.

good luck, and have fun! we may do a trip in Feb too.

Thanks.
We want to do the Magic your Way plus dining package. I'm really getting worried, maybe we should move the trip down a couple weeks just to be safe.

We just booked our Nov 19 - 23rd trip last Saturday. I booked a package through Disney and received everything (except the Magical Express tags) on Wednesday by Fed Ex. I think Disney expedites the info if you book on very short notice. I will be calling however about our DME tags if I don't receive them tomorrow.

Have a great trip :)

In 2005, we went the week you are talking about going (and are going again in 2006) I booked the 2005 trip less than 3 weeks beforehand. We had no problems getting a room (actually got an upgrade when we got there), making ADR's, etc. I liked making plans with that short of notice because I didn't get terribly impatient waiting on it too get here!!! I wish I had've done the short-notice thing for our upcoming trip...I'm about to drive myself NUTS!!!

If you are doing a package, the tickets will be attached to your room key, so you don't get that until you check in.

You can make ADRs now, even before you make your hotel and ticket arrangments. You don't have to have a hotel ressie to make ADRs

How about very short notice? Can you book the night before? I've been thinking it through and by the time my tax refund check comes back, it'll be a few days if not the day before we leave. I really want to go this weekend, cause I can get airfare for $39.00 if we leave on the 4th or the 6th!!!

I already made my dining Reservations and I plan on buying the airline tickets this week.
