Last minute booking - Waiting list?

I've always booked our cruises months in advance. - Never last minute.
But it just so happens we have a chance to do a 5 night out of NYC on Oct 12
Rooms still available but no verandah. I won't sail inside or ov room. There's also 2 concierge left but LOL I wish I was that rich.

Is there a way to be on a waiting list by calling DCL?
Or just keep checking online and hope one opens up?

What are the chances of getting one this close to sailing?

I don't believe DCL keeps a wait list for booked categories.

You'll just have to keep checking to see if something opens up.

Thanks. Is what I thought.
Will call anyway and report back.
Good luck getting on board. Don't forget if the cruise suddenly disappaers from online, you can always call them to make a reservation,

This close to sailing anyone that cancels will lose their entire fare, so you are basically relying on someone to to upgrade to one of those last concierge rooms. Highly unlikely, practically impossible that the kind of room you want will open up, in my opinion.

Yes, its what I thought. And DCL doesn't have a wait list for these kind of scenarios. They do for others, like if you want to switch SRs.
TY for your feedback.

Or someone who has insurance and has to cancel for a covered reason. We are past the point in time on my cruise where 50% of entire fare is forfeit, and I've seen several rooms come into inventory that weren't there before. It's not impossible.
