Last minute ADR's?

As of now we are booked at WL 12/8 for 3nts. and have our ADR's in place, however due to work schedules and time off we might have to push it up to early Oct. We're wondering what the chances of getting the ADR's we want if we have to change a month or two out from the trip. To give you an idea where we want to eat:
Boma 5pm
Kona 5pm
Teppanyaki 5pm

Has anyone else ever booked close to check in date and got good ADR's?

There are people that dont make ADR's til they get to the park and have had no issues. There are others have have seen people turned away in masses.

Have you called WDW dining by chance just to see? Heck you can call up and make them now, or try to and if you dont have to change, just cancel them..

Yeah, I was thinking of doing that. I'd hate to try and change in August and not get any ADR's for October. Wait, dburg, you're checking in the exact same day we are, what a coincidence.

We're going to more value route POP Century as it's just my wife and I and we're not really planning on spending much time in the room. If they would just let us sleep at the TTC or at the gates, we'd probably do that
