My husband agreed VERY last minute to a WDW trip. We leave 4/27...yes, in 4 days, and we only booked 1.5 weeks ago at AKL!! Yikes!! I called right away to make ADR's and seemed not to have a problem with any of my choices.........which hugely concerns me. I'm thinking either I made some really bad choices or maybe the crowds will be slowing. So, here they are:

4/27: D-Jiko
4/28: D-Flying Fish
4/29: L-Crystal Palace, D-Boma
4/30: B-Boma, D- Tutto Italia
5/1: L-Sci-Fi

4/27: D-Jiko
Excellent restaurant! Love it
4/28: D-Flying Fish
Never been there but meant to be nice
4/29: L-Crystal Palace, D-Boma
2 Buffets in one day lol Still both are excellent and well worth all those calories
4/30: B-Boma, D- Tutto Italia
Great breakfast choice. Haven't been to Tutto
5/1: L-Sci-Fi
Not my fave place as they never let me have a car lol but good burgers and shakes

Be glad you got them great choices !:goodvibes

Looks like you will not have to fight the crowds! Lucky you! I haven't been to Sci-Fi yet - what do you guys like/dislike about it?

I loved sci-fi (and so did all 4 hot and tired kids, the grumpy hubby and even my b*tchy mom.) Stick to typical drive-in fare and you won't be disappointed at all. I had Onion rings, a burger and a milk shake. They were all perfect. The atmosphere is cute, the car tables are fun and I just don't quite understand all the negatives people have about this one.

(Maybe it is because Disney thinks dinner needs restaurant Dinner foods. Sci-fi should be a burger and fry place, not steak and potatos, the dinner menu misses the mark.) Lunch was great!

Have fun!!!

Gismo1554: You're right, 2 buffets in 1 day, not a good idea...I mean, I have been saving up my calories the past couple of weeks, but I may well explode and float away after a day like that!!! :rotfl2: Maybe I can switcheroo some ressies, hmm?? Also, I had no idea that I may not get a car at Sci-Fi. I've never eaten there and assumed that everyone gets a car :sad2:

Tinker*Shell*Bell: Just what I was looking for, some R&R, and a healthy dose of onion rings & a milk shake!! Yummy!! It is a Disney vacation after all, anything goes as far as I am concerned....

Ask for a car when you check in and tell them you are willing to wait for one to become available. We waited an extra 5-10 minutes to get one car with out group of 8 so we didn't have to get split up. It was a short wait in the A/C waiting room...no problem.

So.....I was thinking that 3 buffets back-to-back is no good :confused3 (so glad I caught that today). What if I switch 4/29 D-Boma to CS at DTD. We were going to do DTD on 5/1 for dinner, but maybe I can swap?

What are your thoughts on Earl of Sandwich vs. Wolfgang Puck Express??? I've never had either...

Wolfgang Pucks Express is my absolute favorite. I could eat there everyday. More than enough food to split 1 meal and save room for Ghiardelli's for dessert ;)

Yummmmm....We went to Ghiardelli's in Nov. to get peppermint ice cream, so delicious, thanks for reminding me, would hate to miss that spot, although I think the peppermint is seasonal.

Any favorites for CS at Epcot?

Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavillion is my favorite. Everything is so fresh there.
I also like The Mexico Cantina CS for a light dinner. Snag a table and watch Illuminations with a nice Margarita after dinner!

WPE and EoS are both awesome choices....but if I had to pick I would say WPE...the salads, pizzas, sandwiches are just out of this world.

So I made some changes with a day and a half to go....:yay:

4/27: D-Jiko
4/28: D-Flying Fish
4/29: L-Crystal Palace, D-DTD, WPE :thumbsup2 (thanks everyone)
4/30: B-Boma, D-Tutto Italia
5/1: L-Sci-Fi, D-Boma
5/2: homeward bound :sad2:

Torn over Epcot CS...love Mexico Cantina, never tried Sunshine Pavillion, does Japan CS serve sushi?????That might be the one if they do......But, DH will almost definitely grab fish and chips and a beer to go!!!! That's his "must do."

Thanks for all of your help, I'm just so darned excited. Planning imeals is half the fun of a Disney trip!!:rotfl:
