last minute ADR question..

I was hoping to book WC for the night of 5/3 but could only get a very late time. (I did get it for Sat.. but would really rather Th..) Anyway, I was hoping to call a few times that day to see if anything opens up. Do I just call the regular Disney Dining, or is there a way to call the WC directly? Thanks!

You'll still want to call Disney Dining. There will be a button on your room phone that will connect you right to them.

ETA: I have an ADR at WCC for 8:10 on 5/4 that I'm going to cancel. Would that work for you at all?

Also, maybe try it for lunch. We always go in May and last year we were able to get seated right away without an ADR for lunch. It worked out well since we had friends staying at WL.

Is it fun at lunch too? We're staying at WL in July and my DD is obsessed with WCC. Last time we were there she ate two pans of corn all by herself - a 30 lb girl! So she's going to want to go there as soon as we check in, which will probably be around lunch time. Will the antics be as fun then or should I try to convince her to wait for dinner?

5/4 is by birthday and we'll be at Ohana.

We can't go for lunch 'cause the kids are going to the GF tea party that day.

It's not the end of the world if we can't go Th.. but that is the only night I don't have an ADR. My ADR for Sat. is at 2:40.. just a weird time as we will probably be at Epcot.

I guess a later time Sat would work too.. I just thought I would call a few times when we get there.. figured it couldn't hurt.

If you really want to go on thurs. I would suggest going down 15 min or so before they open for din. and maybe putting your name in and see what happens.

lunch still has activities, but it's very subdued in my experience. dinner is what it's always about. and you want to be there when it's very busy.

in addition to calling throughout the day (keep 407-WDW-DINE on the cell phone), you can walk into any TS location and have them check availability for you.
