POFQ has a great pool slide for younger kids. I personally love the landscaping at POR. Again think about the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground and Voyage of the Little Mermaid at MGM. When you are on another trip, explore the maze in back of England, and do the Kidcot stations to make the masks. There really are more things for preschoolers to do than people realize.

I made Ressies at POFQ. Thanks for all your help. If it were just me and DS I would probably have done something else. We plan to go back in Dec for Christmas and my try the WL next time or CSR. I just cannot do the values at this point in my life. I think if my son was older and could carry his own bag it would be a different story but I have a 50lbs 46" tall 4yr and I am only 110 and 5'2". I can barely carry him any more. I want my bags to magically appear in my room them disappear the same way and end up back at the airport in my home town. I was not confident that would happen at a value resort. OR I may try a value is we ever pack real light and fly down for a quick weekend!

your luggage would appear and disappear at a value too.

but I really think you will like POFQ better. It has a working food court - but remember no sit down restuarant - for that you gotta walk or boat to POR.

be sure to bring your friend on the boat ride to DD - at night it is just lovely.....

Reading the books such as passperter making the values sound like you really are solo and the CM's are not very helpful. The other thing was the 4pm check in time. When my son is a little older I will not object to trying them and all perhaps in an off season. But I am just not up for that this time. and I could stay at POFQ for only $178.00 more. Well that kinda sealed the deal. Oh and get this the priced I was quoted on Sun verses last night were also less. The prices must get lower the as you get closed to the departing date. There were about $100 less.

that is why I love Pop - lots of the CM came from deluxe resorts. they know service and try to help.

I had only seem one elderly person at Pop that was lost. People seem to come to me when they are lost. guess I belong at Disney. had that time twice at sports (despite being there only one day) and once at music (was there for 3 days). it didn't happen at all with movies - but that is definitely a younger crowd.

now I have been to Pop 6 times - generally from 1 day to 5 days - and for this to only happen once - they are doing a pretty good job.

now I have an annual pass - I don't have any idea what their customer service is like. but lots of time when you arrive without any ADR and want to get a princess meals - no WDW resort except the concierge can get that for you. People get mad and blame the resort. Not their bad planning.
