If you have seen the movie, what do you think the last line meant? I must have missed something because I am scratching my head about it.

Here is the comment in white text, if you are curious. It is not exact because I'm pulling it from memory but it is very close.

"To understand what the ocean is, maybe we should first ask who we are." Then the movie ended.

Anybody see it today?

Haven't seen the movie but wonder....
They did Earth last year, Oceans this year, maybe mammals will be next? :lmao:

Yes, they had trailers of next year's film, "Big Cats". It is about lions & tigers in Africa.

I can't wait to see Oceans. I LOVED Earth. :thumbsup2

I want to see Oceans, are there any parts that would make you cry? Like, sad parts?

No, I don't remember many sad parts. The baby turtles, maybe, but that is all I remember.

As long as no penguins are eaten by seals...

I am going this afternoon and can not wait. I loved Earth more than I thought I would so I hope Oceans is just as good.

Hmm, I could take that line to mean a couple of things.

1. scientists believe we may have all originated in the ocean, the evidence is pretty solid that single cell organisms did start there.
2. It could also mean the ocean is a living breathing thing just like a human?

That's too deep for me! :lmao:

When I first saw the thread title, I thought you meant one of George Clooney's movies: Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve, Ocean's Thirteen. :lmao:

The last line could also mean: If we destroy the ocean, we destroy our future and ultimately, our destiny.

Oh, wait. That message was already covered in Star Trek 4: The Voyage HOME, :thumbsup2 which came out 24 years ago.

Yes, we all came from pond scum. :lmao:

exactly
which is why I am vegetarian for conservation reasons:thumbsup2

the ocean is over fished. the supply will not last forever. there is not enough supply, period.
more than half of the fish coming out of the ocean is converted to feed for confined pigs and cows. domestic chickens eat fish.
domestic animals eat fish, humans eat fish. there is not enough.

There's always farm raised fish. Truthfully I find it hard to believe that the ocean will ever run dry of fish.

It takes about 50 plus fish to raise ONE farm raised salmon
