Last few days before our WDW honeymoon - Anything we should do to make sure we're ready?

Hi all! We're going to be at Disney World next week (in the parks 6/6-6/10, plus arrival and departure days 6/5 and 6/11) for our long-belated and three-times-rescheduled honeymoon! We're road-tripping from north Texas (have a hotel in Tallahassee for a driving break) and we'll be staying at Pop Century. We're extremely excited. We've got our park reservations, dining reservations, a few activities booked (Capture Your Moment, Savi's). We've looked at the rides in each park and figured out what we're rope-dropping, what we're grabbing on Genie+, and which ones we're grabbing on paid ILL. We've also got pretty solid ideas of what we'd like to do in each park each day. We've each got MDE accounts, and we've got Magic Bands linked.

What else should we make sure to do in these last few days to make sure we're absolutely ready to go? Any big checkmarks we still need to hit?

Congrats!
Sounds like you have everything covered..
Have a great trip!

Yep, a huge checkmark that a lot of people overlook. Don't feel like you have to do EVERYTHING you possibly can while you are there. Slow down, enjoy your time together, remember why you're there, and really enjoy yourselves. Disney can be overwhelming if you let it, and you can get to the end of your trip and be completely exhausted. Remember to take your time and enjoy fully what you have time for. I hope you have a great honeymoon.

Excellent advice! I’ll add, be sure to look up at the buildings - the upper-story windows on MK Main Street are all tributes to important people, the dining pavilions in AK next to Flame Tree BBQ are all themed to different predator-prey pairs, etc. Don’t just run from ride to ride!

I was there Memorial Day weekend, do NOT underestimate the sun & the heat. Try going first thing in the morning, back to the resort for a nap & dip in the pool, then back to the park in the early evening.

Nothing worse on your honeymoon than heatstroke!

When you travel under the railroad and enter Main Street in Magic Kingdom, it should feel like you're walking into a movie theater. The posters on the walls, the smell of popcorn, etc.

Also, something else I found interesting is that humans tend to stick to the right side of a path, and move towards the right more often than the left. That is why when you enter and walk down Main Street towards the castle, all of the shops on your right are food, drinks and supplies you might need in the park (batteries, ponchos, etc). When you're leaving and walking the other way down Main Street, now the shops that are on your right all have souvenirs that you would typically get on your way out of the park if you haven't gotten them already. Interesting logic by Disney.

Bring water bottles or bottle water or ask for water at counter services to stay hydrated. Take a break mid day when sun is at it hottest-maybe take a nap, go to pool or just chill in hotel room. Maybe Disney Gift cards instead of walking around with cash? Enjoy your trip!

A sweet souvenir to remember the trip are the cut out silhouette portraits in Magic Kingdom. You can find the kiosk on Main Street. I always assumed that it would take a long time and be more costly but it a bargain by WDW standards. For about $30 and 15 minutes (they cut out those silhouettes so quickly) you can have a really nice framed souvenir of your honeymoon. I would add it to my to do list for sure.

Have you done online check in for your hotel? That way you can specify your estimated arrival time to increase the odds that your room is ready on arrival.

Remember to say you are celebrating your honeymoon on your resort reservation and also dining . You should wear your honeymoon buttons ( you should get them at check in ) . At sit down meals you will most likely get a free dessert. If anyone will get pixie dust it will be a couple on their honeymoon !! Have an amazing time !!! 🎉💖

Take time to stop and smell the roses. Remember to have fun. Take advantage of unexpected 'detours' - turn them into an adventure instead of a roadblock.

DH and I honeymooned at WDW 35 years ago. We had a wonderful time -- you have one too.
