Last day - What time leave park to catch DME at resort?

I have a 4:00 p.m. return home flight at MCO. Would like to visit either AK or HS in the a.m. What time should I leave the park to get back to POR to catch DME?

I would be walking out of the park by 11:45 at the latest. I'd really feel more comfortable leaving at 11:30.

Agree. DME will be LEAVING your resort around 1:00. You will need to allow time to retrieve your hand luggage, make a bathroom so, and be ready when the bus arrives. So you would want to be back at your resort no later than 12:15.

Work backwards - assuming you're flying domestic you will be picked up at POR around 1 pm. You need to be at the bus stop 15 min. before your DME pick up - so around 12:45 pm.

I think most of the shops open at 9:30 or 10:00.

I'd be at the boat dock by 11:50.

The stores don't open til 10:00. Some open later. And the boat ride isn't very fast. I wouldn't do it.

You also need to allow time to get your carry ons from bell services. Also, the pick up time could be as early as 12:45.

Another thing to consider is that you may wait 20 minutes for a bus back to the resort.

If you miss DME, you'll need to find your own transportation to the airport.

I wouldn't push it that late.

Shoot to be back at your resort an hour before you need to be on the Magical Express bus platform. My quick calculation suggests perking up your ears at 10:45 (for a noon DME bus), saying to yourself, "Time to head for the park exit."

4:00 flight gets you picked up between 12:45 and 1:15. You need to be at the DME bus stop, ready to go, at least 15-20 mins prior to your stated pick up time.
That puts you at the bus stop between 12:30-1:00. You will probably need to stop at Luggage Assistence for your carry on bags.....that could take up to 20 mins. Add bathroom stops and that last walk through the gift shop....another 30 mins. You need to be at the resort by 11:30. Probably better to just hang at the resort. The only way I would go to a park would be if it was an EMH morning. But you would have to be leaving the park by 10:45 at the latest.

Thank you for the responses. I guess it'd be better to have a late night Friday somewhere and sleep in Sat. Have a leisurely brunch. Binge shop the resort gift shop. Let my tween boys play in the arcade. Explore the grounds (which we probably wouldn't have done a whole lot of). I should've gotten a 6 day ticket instead of 7. I will have FOMO big time though with no park our last day - LOL!
