My husband and I are going for the last day of the Osborne Lights, and I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to advise me on my plans for it.
We added just enough extra days onto the beginning of our trip to be able to see the last day of Lights, so the only day for us to attend any Holiday events is January 3rd. As such, my current plans are to go to Magic Kingdom first, see all of the Holiday decorations and the last Christmas parade, then immediately leave after the parade. Ideally we would stop by Epcot on our way to HS to ride Soarin' before it closes for refurbishment, then continue on to Hollywood Studios for the Lights, planning on getting there a little bit early to see the last lighting ceremony. We have reservations for the Merry and Bright Dinner party, so we're going to be there a while to enjoy the lights and will have seating and snacks throughout the evening.
My concern is, being the very last day for the lights, that the park might fill up. I know Hollywood Studios reaching capacity is unheard of, but I'd prefer to err on the side of caution if anyone with more Holiday experience or inside knowledge has input to give. I also realize that stopping for Soarin' may not be feasible due to potentially very long lines.
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
