Last Day for Disney Club

I need AP vouchers for next summer's vacation, but I can not convince DW that we need to purchase them TODAY in order to get the DC discount of $20 per voucher. I guess that I'd pay more in interest by the time we finally use them.

I'm going to miss my DC discount on passes. The merchandise discount was nice, but I got a lot more mileage out of the AP discount, even if it was only 5%.

The more that I use my Disney Visa, I realize just how lame it is to be putting away 1% for my next Disney trip. I get the same deal from my BP Visa, and I can use gasoline nearly every day of the week. I'm sitting on $51 Disney Dollars that I won't use until next summer. I sure hope that Disney rethinks the Magic Kingdom Club/Disney Club idea.

I'll miss it too, John. I have had MKC or DC ever since I got bit back in '98 by the Disney bug, such a great card to use. I guess too good.

We are going to miss the Disney Club as well. It was always nice knowing that you could go to the store and save a little with your purchase. We are not as likely to make as many purchases without the discount.

I hope that they rethink their decision as well.

I know what you mean about the Disney Visa dollars. I'm not certain when we are going back... (now DH wants to think about a Disney Cruise!) It will be eventually I know that much!

Yes, the money you save will be eaten up in interest between now and then.. as much as I hate being practical.. it is probably true.

I know I am going to miss it too We have had DC or MCK in our family for years! I just made my final purchase from disneystore.com this weekend. I really hope they rethink it! Even with the VISA, it just doesn't make up for what I used to get with the DC.

We had the MKC and then DC.. seemed like every time that they revised the cards, the benefits got less.. but still they were benefits..we bought AP's for 2005 - 2006 trips with the last of the DC discount and triple disney visa points last week.. not a tremendous dicount but a discount still ,as well as, we have now hedged our AP cost..

Dh believes that Disney will need to come up with another program in the near future.. but we will see..meanwhile, I have just put my DC card in the memory box..

We loved belonging to Disney/Magic Kingdom Club. It will really be missed at our house. We more than paid for the annual dues with the Disney Store discount alone!

I just bought 2 AP's when they were running the triple reward dollars and used my DC discount for the last time Im up to about 50 dollars for our next trip, which is in June. Hopefully by then I will have more. We try to get atleast enough for 1 character meal--which is no easy task paying for 5 of us. Baby still free for another year
