We do not have any park days left on our ticket for the AM that we leave the resort. We want to have breakfast (we will have to pay for it) at the Captain's Grille buffet at the YC. We should be able to ride the bus and go there to eat right? We will still be a resort guest our plane does not leave until after lunch.

Buses don't go from resort to resort so you will have to go to somewhere and transfer. (like DTD). I am sure someone can tell you the quickest way if you provide your resort. Also, you can tour the resorts and Boardwalk all you want.

you get all the perks of being an onsite guest until 11:59pm of your check out date . I am not sure what hotel you are at to tell you the easiest way to get to yc

Bus use isn't a resort guest perk anyways. Unless they've changed something, anyone who goes to Disney can use the buses. The bulk of people who use them are probably resort guests, because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for someone who is staying off property to use them much.

As others have indicated, the convenience of the YC for breakfast will depend on where you're staying, and how early you want to leave.

If you are taking ME you will be picked up at your resort approximately 3 hours +/-15 minutes before your flight time. You will need to be at the ME bus stop 15 minutes before the time listed on the paper work you'll receive the day before. You'll need to allow time to get back to your resort, pick up any carry ons at bell services and last minute bathroom stops also.

You'll be able to ride the resort bus to DHS and take the boat or walk to the YC. However, depending on how much time you'll have, you might want to take a taxi.

Not to sound mean or anything...Actually "technically" you do need to be a resort guest to use the WDW bus and WDW does consider that a perk of staying on property (I'm sure there are some who don't know that or they just don't abide by that) but unless anything has changed only WDW resort guest are "actually" the only ones permitted to use the resort buses.

The OP didn't indicate where they are staying so this probably isn't an issue.;)

From the Disney World website:
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/

"Resort Transportation
Walt Disney World Resort offers an extensive transportation system that is complimentary for Disney Theme Park and Disney Resort hotel Guests. The system includes buses, monorails and boats that link together select Disney Theme Parks, Disney Water Parks, Disney Resort hotels and major shopping and recreation areas."

The way I read it is that all Disney guests are welcome to use the transportation system.

I know that years ago, it truly was a perk for hotel guests and that you had to show a resort ID in order to board a bus. Showing an ID is no longer required. Also, it seems to me that Disney would probably prefer to alleviate road congestion by getting more people to use their mass transportation.

For the OP, however, a taxi may be a better choice.

SORRY :( I left out the part that we are stayin at the CBR. Our ADR is for 7:30 am. None of the parks will be open yet but we could ride the 6:30 bus to DHS and would we be able to walk to the YC from there and be in time? Should we take a taxi to the YC and when done ride the bus from the YC back to DHS then bus back to CBR? Are the boats like the bus...Anyone can ride them? They do drop you off outside of DHS? Since we will not have a park ticket left? We have to be ready to leave on the ME by 11ish our flight is at 2:35....THANKS!!!:flower3: Lisa

It is perfectly acceptable to ride the bus/boat/monorail even if staying offsite, so yes, you can use whatever mode of transportation you wish. We'd probably take the bus to DHS and then the boat to YC, as it will drop you off right there. Or you can walk instead of taking the boat.

On a previous trip while staying at the WL, we took the bus to DHS then the boat to BC for breakfast at Cape May. We were running a bit late after walking around the Boardwalk afterwards, so we took a taxi from there back to WL to catch DME. It didn't cost much.

There is no bus from the YC to DHS. You'll have to walk or take the boat. The boat dock and the bus stops are outside of the DHS gates so you won't need a park ticket. Just like the buses, the boat is available to everyone.
