Hey everyone,

DB and DSIL are tagging along on our upcoming weekend trip in December. It's them, myself, my mom and their 2 kids (ages 6 and 4). My DB doesn't really want a character breakfast which is ok with me and the kids like them but don't love them. So no characters it is. He is ok with either buffet or traditional table service...he wants the best quality of food. We are staying at the Poly so Kona Cafe was an option I thought of along with Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL since it is sort of in the area. Then I thought of Boma at AKL since I had heard good things about their breakfast and DSIL has been wanting to see it. I have only eaten at WCC...it was good but not amazing. I'd be very willing to try it again though.

So any thoughts? suggestions? Thanks in advance! :flower3:

I love Whispering Canyon and before the Disney Dining Plan - it was a tradition to eat there on our last day before the plane ride home. The breakfast skillet is delicious and is all you can eat for around $10 per person, the kids will be less. You get eggs, pine cone waffles, hash browns, sausage and bacon. Since you are at the Poly - getting over the WL is easy. Take the monorail to MK and then hop on the boat to the WL.

We are planning to have breakfast at the Kona Cafe at the Poly our last day. We just have enough time to stop there to eat and then catch our flight. My wife is extra happy since you can get real Kona coffee there and I want to have the tonga toast that everyone is raving about.

Happy eating!

To be honest, Boma for breakfast is your best bet for these reasons:

1) Excellent food. Made to order omelets. Delicious breakfast breads. Very good selections.
2) All you can eat.
3) Their specialty juice.
4) 16.99
5) in the gorgeous, out of this world lovely Animal Kingdom Lodge

need i say more?

I love Whispering Canyon

We are planning to have breakfast at the Kona Cafe at the Poly

To be honest, Boma for breakfast is your best bet for these reasons:

How on earth do I make a decision with responses like this? ;)

Seriously, thanks for the tips...keep 'em coming! :goodvibes

I'm kind of leaning towards Kona just because we are staying at the Poly and we'll have more time to hang out at the resort before leaving, but I am still open to others suggestions.

I would choose Kona also. We try and eat breakfast there at least once during our stays...wonderful food and such a relaxed atmosphere.

We often have our last WDW breakfast at Kona. For our upcoming Xmas trip, we're planning on breakfasting at Boma on our last morning, as it is dh's favorite. Other restaurants with a great breakfasts include GF Cafe, Whispering Canyon, and Spoodles.

Boma!

We always have breakfast at Boma on the last full day of our trip. (Already have my ADR for our January trip! :cool1: )

We have a late breakfast at Boatwright's and then take the boat to Downtown Disney to pick up some last minute souvenirs.

I would choose KONA....very good and you are right there:goodvibes

If you are up for an adventure....go to BOMA.(take a taxi or you'll spend
your last day on the bus.

I say Kona....we LOVE Kona, especially for breakfast.

Another breakfast (without characters) that is great is Boatwright's at POR. Their sweet potato pancakes are to die for!

We had a last day breakfast at Yacht Club Galley once and I loved it, much better than the one we had at Boma's. However, DH just said the other day that he'd like to do Boma's for breakfast on the last day again. Just goes to show how different people have different ideas of "best".

The Kona is always our last day breakfast! We love it there. Another favorite breakfast spot is Olivia's at OKW. We also like the Yacht Club Galley.

Well, you folks have certainly convinced me to eat at Kona's. :cool1:

Tonga Toast!! :yay:

Same here!

I think I've finally decided on Kona for our last morning. Of course I still have to make the ADR. We usually have a nice breakfast, enjoy the resort and then hit the road some time late morning early afternoon so I think Kona will be perfect. Plus everything on the menu sounds good and I've yet to hear a negative thing about the place!

Thanks for all the suggestions! :cutie:

Another vote for Kona or Boma, seriously you can't go wrong with either. Just depends if you want to "travel" or not.

Definitely Kona - you are already staying there so it saves on travel - and you can also try the Tonga Toast - enjoy.
