Last cellular customers in U.S.

My brother told me today that if you have stock in a cellular company it's time to sell it...because he and his wife have just bought one and they are surely the last people in America to get a cell phone! Anybody else holding still holding out?

Altho I have a cell phone, my dh does not have one and barely knows how to use mine!

I've had one for about 13 years. I'm a doctor and got my first phone when I was a resident and on-call outside of the hospital. That was back when doctors were about the only people who had them. Now, everyone has one even though very few people actually NEED one.

On the other hand, my wife and I keep joking that one of these days the cable tv folks are going to come knocking on our door to tell us that we are the last people in the state who don't have cable and they are hooking it up whether we like it or not.

we finally got a cell phone in May. I had resisted for the longest time, but suddenly had this gut feeling that I needed a cell phone. So we got one 2 weeks before our trip to WDW and I sure was glad we got one when we did.

On the way down to Disney up in the mountains of Virginia at 9:30pm our tire blew out! I was so glad we had the cell phone and was able to call roadside assistance. Otherwise we would've been stuck there for hours and maybe had to sleep in our car overnight!

Now we just keep it in the car since that's pretty much the only time we ever use it.

The truth of the matter seems to be that cell phone stock is ALREADY not worth much. At least the fund that I have that was based on cell phone companies is almost worthless now. It has been since 2001.
