Last Call for an October 17 Meet

DH & I are going to HHN on the 15th, but we will probably be at IOA on the 17th. If you guys end up setting up a meeting time during the day, I'll try to stop by. I haven't posted much on the Universal side of the boards (can we say LURKER?), but you guys have answered so many of my questions over the past few months in other posts it's amazing.

Love Tigger - are you able to go to the Universal Studios part of the park? If not, I'm sure Barry and the others wouldn't mind heading over to IOA...I won't either...as long as I can see every Ghostbusters Show and go on MIB a few times.

But for our meet, we are wanting to make a joke about my Ghostbusters Show obsession and since the show is at Universal...maybe we can find a time when the Ghostbusters Show area is not used and do it there. I know it should be no problem before 11:30...hehe..just around 11:45 risk meeting the Ghostbusters themselves when they (possibly) come down for a mic check...do you want to be caught impersonating them??? hehe

Anyway...I'm sure most of us (if not all) have annual passes, so if you can only meet at IOA, we'll make sure we meet over there too (though the Ghostbusters thing will still be at US).

I was thinking we can meet at opening at IOA (when does it open, 9, 10?) and then do some lunch at, say, Mythos. Then we can head over to USF in the afternoon. We might have to miss some Ghostbusters shows, but FFE can read the transcripts.

Well, I was thinking about it, but the truth is, I currently have very little time as it is.

Remember back a week or two ago, when I was never online or posting on the MB, and I told you how I was going to be scarce until after the festival ended. But then all these fun threads started to pop up, like the games and pictures and stuff, and i started to come online at night and in the moirning just to check those out, and I would even do it at work, just to keep up with it.

But now I keep on taking "breaks" to check the MB that last up to and past an hour. Today I came to work on my day off to catch up some, and all I've accomplished in four hours is to make HHN reservations over the phone, create a countdown bar, and send PMs to you.

So I don't think I'll get into another game that I know I'll get too involved in, and i'm not going to be around as much either. I will post that last fake article, and maybe come by once a week or so, but until after Nov 16, I can't be too active here.

I hope your RPG game is still around then.

Bummer Kevin But, with the RPG, I hope it'll actually start up (lol) and stick around for a while. You can join us whenever you want (and CAN), so even if it's 50 pages down the road (highly doubt THAT will the the case, but still) you can join in.

Are you still meeting up on the 17th then? I think Darwineffect may try to stop by.

Whoa... complete accident.

That last post was actually supposed to be a PM to Flyfly, regarding joing the RPG. I guess I had both reply windows open at the same time...

But, that was pretty much my purpose in replying to this thread.

I will be going to be at Universal the 17th, but I'm going with my Dad and some friends, and I'm not sure what time we will arrive. They currently only have tickets to HHN, which I reserved today, but I'm not sure if my dad intends on visiting the parks during the day. So, if we actually make it up to Orlando before HHN, and I can get to the parks at that time, then I will meet you guys. But if my dad wants to leave, say, mid-day, to arrive just in time for HHN, then I wont be able to meet up. I'll keep you guys up to date though.

The rest of this message was going to be what what inteded for Flyfly in the above post. I won't be hanging out around here as often, but I will check in ever so just to keep updated on the 17th meet and other things. But until the film festival's over, I won't be much of a regular.

I'm going to make a command decision here...let's meet in front of the IOA gates at around 8:30. We'll see if we can get in early and do a lap around IOA or do as many rides as we can before 11 am. Then we will hike over to USF for the GB show at 11:30.

How does this sound?

Question though...Am I the only one bringing small kids? My 6 daughter year old can ride anything but the big rollercoasters (she LOVES spiderman!), but my son who is one will be enjoying everything in his stroller. Is there anyone willing to do a babyswap with me? Or is that going to be too much trouble?

My Hubby works 6 days a week and usually doesnt get home from work until after 8pm. So, he wont be coming. I dont want to drag anyone down...

Don't worry about it...we have room for kids, adults, and old people (like Robin! )! Besides, I've always wanted to see how baby swap runs. Does that mean we can ride each ride twice without a wait? If so...whoohoo!

Thanks! Babyswap is awsome! I hate to admit it, but sometimes we cheat, and ride two-three times (each of us) and we dont have to stand in line. And yes, you can ride twice...

I told my hubby that since babyswap is so awsome we just might have to have a third child when Sam gets to old! (Just Joking!!)

We may be able to join you guys but, if we do, it will be a last minute thing and we don't want anyone sitting around waiting for us. We have three DDs (7, 5 and 2) and are chronically late (and that was before we had kids). We've seen a picture or two of Barry so we know who to look for and we'll try to meet up with you guys at some point.

HEY!!

Anyway, a question for you Barry...there isn't a GB Show at 11:30...that's when the GBs usually go down for the mic check (may be closer to 11:45 somedays, depending on who's there). BUT, are we going to do the GB Tryouts thing or not?? We need to keep this in mind...when will we do this once the shows have started, or are we going to crap it?
