I know this is a disney board but you guys are the smartest! We are planning on a girls trip to Vegas. There will be at least 4 of us. Does anyone know where to get good deals and have any advice on what to do and where to stay. Thanks everyone for your help!

I've been to Treasure Island (got hitched there) and we loved it. There are tons of shows to see and of course casinos. You can also take a day tour to Hoover Dam and even Grand Canyon. Go to http://www.vegastickets.com/ and you can see who's there during your stay.
Have fun .... remember "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" :cool1:
(except for us ... we brought back a souvenir that is now 9yrs old)

usair has some good vacation packages that include air and hotel.

Thanks everyone! I knew you guys were the smartest.

Clm3-It looks like you have few extra "suveniors" the are cute!

The MGM Grand has been around for quite a while, but it's still one of the nicest hotels in Vegas. They always have great specials running for rooms! Have fun!

My friend wants to stay at the bagianos (spelling?) but only 1 out of the 4 of us has been to las vegas so we are completely open to suggestions. Has anyone stayed there? Is it worth the money to stay at the more expensive hotels?

Do you mean Bellagio? Bellagio is one of the finest hotels in Las Vegas (if not the USA). It is beautiful and the location is fantastic. I can't say if the expensive hotels are worth it. It depends on what you are looking for. Since this is your first visit to Vegas, I suggest you stay in a hotel that is centrally located on the strip. These include Bellagio, Caesar's, Mirage, Paris, Flamingo, Bally's, Aladdin and Harrah's. Traveling mid-week is usually less expensive in Vegas (unless you are traveling when there is a big convention in town). The time of the year makes a difference. There are some great deals available in the summer because of the intense heat.

I took a girls trip to Vegas in September. I received an e-mail offer from Bellagio and we booked a suite for $299 per night. Since we were splitting it three ways, it was a great deal. When we checked in, we were given a free upgrade to a HUGE suite facing the fountains. It was awesome.

I suggest you go into the websites of the hotels and register for e-mail promotions. You may receive a great offer that you can use for your trip.

Have fun planning your trip.

the newer hotels on the strip are pretty expensive, esp. on the weekends! If you stay off the strip, it's much cheaper! I don't have a lot of experiences with hotels. My MIL lived in Las Vegas so we always stayed with her when we were there, and we haven't been back since she passed away :guilty:

We have a board right here on the DIS where we discuss Las Vegas........jump to the Calfornia/West board to review some great threads.

Check some of the hotels web pages for specials. I found Treasure Island for our honeymoom at $49 a night,:thumbsup2 it was almost 7 years ago:faint:

Go to websites and sign up for their mailings. They usually send out some good deals that way.

Go to www.vegas.com it's a great informative website and you can check hotel costs, tickets for shows, day trips to the Dam.

Hotels can range from DUMP to Extravagant....depends on your budget.

5 star rated hotels on the strip are:

Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, THe Hotel at Mandalay Bay, Venetian, Wynn

4 1/2 stars

Caesars Palace, MGM, Mirage, Palms, Paris, Red Rock, Signature at MGM

4 Stars

Alladin, Luxor, NY NY, Rio

3 1/2 stars

Treasure Island, Ballys, Harrahs, Flamingo Hilton, Monte Carlo

3 stars

Circus Circus, Excalibur, Hooters, Stratosphere, Tropicana

When are you going? How long are you staying? Are there kids? How old are you? What do you like to do???

You can shop at the Forum Shops for hours if you like that
Great restaurants to eat at
The strip hotels have some free show like the Bellagio Fountains, the Show at Caesars Palace, The volcano at Mirage.

There is so much to do and we go all the time and still haven't gotten bored with it.

Feel free to PM me if you want any information from me. We go to Vegas at least 4 times a year and have stayed at almost every hotel on the strip at one point or another.

The Venetian has some of the largest standard rooms on the strip. They're 700+ square feet and have enough room for the four of you if you want to share a room! Sign up for the e-mail offers, we got The Venetian for $149 a night in August. Check out www.travel2vegas.com too.

We stayed at the MGM Grand the first night of our trip and now I avoid it if at all possible. The place is HUGE and hard to navigate and our room was HORRIBLE. I can't even begin to explain the ten ways to horrible it was!

That is the hotel I was talking about. I will go to the website and see what kind of deals I get. Thank you

We will probably be going next year sometime not sure when yet, we are waiting for 2 girls to respond to when they want to go. We are 27 and 28 years old. The kids are staying with the Dads:thumbsup2 and the only thing we know we want to do is see Barry Manilow. The rest is undecided!
