OK, I need help... we are planning a trip to go to Vegasd in February and I trully want to stay in Bellagio.. since the last time I was in Vegas was in 91 and the group have not been there yet so it is all a 1st time for everybody. can someone please rate/arrange this in order the top most meaning the best and the last being the least favorable to stay at:

1. Bellagio
2. Treasure Island
3. Venitian
4. Alladin
5. Paris
6. Mirage
7. Luxor
8. Excalibur
9. Mandalay Bay

Thanks and a happy new year to you and your love ones :wizard:

ANTSS2001,

I think any of those places you would probably like. I personally am a MGM Grand person, but would like to stay at the Venetian one day.

I see you're getting ready for your trip to Vegas, this is so out of my radar, let me plan a trip for WDW and I never experience a blank. :confused3

I also think any one of those would be wonderful to stay out. We stayed at the Excalibur when we went. It was nice, but I would love to stay at the Venetian or MGM. MGM mainly because I love the lions there. I thought it was so cool. I could stand there and watch those lions all day. I thought the Venetian was beautiful. Of course we only went into the shops there. I also liked New York New York. I thought their little shopping area was really cool.

Michie,

I'm hoping to stay at the Venetian for my Presidents day weekend Feb 06 trip.

My first pick would definately be Paris. We just got another free offer from them and I am heartbroken that we can't use it!

Here is how I would rank them:

1. Paris

2. Bellagio (great location on the Strip - casino is ok)
3. Venetian - cool hotel, beautiful, fun casino BUT everything very expensive!
4. Mirage - great location, good casino
5. Aladdin - rooms are ok but location is the best thing about the Aladdin (next to Paris) (casino is pretty good as well)
6. Luxor (great theming but further down the Strip)
7. Excalibur - cool theming but further away and somewhat dated
8. Mandalay Bay - This place doesn't appeal to me at all
9. Treasure Island - I personally hate this casino so I would never stay there! But it is in a good location

I would rule out a few of them purely based on location. Given my choice, I would want to be mid-strip. So that rules out 7, 8 and 9 on your list. And Hard Rock is way too far. 1, 4 and 5 are most centrally located for my liking so I'd probably go with one of those. Though I'd love to stay at Venetian also.

venetian
belliago
mirage
paris
new york new york
wynn
monte carlo
mgm

at lasvegas.com
has good deals sun-fri. sign up at all the places you would like to stay you can get about $149.00 a night at venetian and belliago and $179.00 at the wynn if you stay sun-thurs

Check out www.biddingfortravel.com. We used Pricelind and got the Venetian for around 70 bucks a night. Apparently the only two that come up in the 5 star zone are the Venetian and the Bellagio. Can you lose with those two choices? The only thing you have to watch out for is that they will not guarantee bed type. The Venetian rooms are all suites and have a king bed and sleeper sofa, but not sure about the Bellagio.
We then moved to the Luxor cause my husband wanted to stay there and it STUNK. I'm not really picky, but it seemed rundown and trashy to me. Plus, the inclinators made me car sick. ;)

If you have the money, I would go with either the Bellagio or the Venetian. If you don't want to spend as much, the MGM Grand is really nice and in a good location. Have fun! :goodvibes

If money is no problem, I would stay at the Bellagio. The hotel is gorgeous, the location is great and I would LOVE to sit in my room, every night, and watch the fountains!

Great.... all your FYI are going to be a big help. Location..Location.. location... my family is no high roller, we go for the view, comfort and food when we are in a casino mecca. Keep those inputs coming.

Happy New year....

I can only rank based on places I've stayed, which puts it this way:

Bellagio
Luxor
Excalibur - honestly, I wouldn't waste your money there, the rooms leave much to be desired.

We stayed a few nights at Manadalay Bay and HATED IT. Bad location, overly crowded pool area, nothing special about it. And you have to trek to get to anything on the strip. Spent the last few nights at Paris and wished we had saved our cash at the MB and stayed there the entire time (we paid $40 more a night to stay at MB!). Perfect location, gorgeous hotel, great service, close to good restaurants.

On another trip, we'd like to stay at Bellagio, Venetian, or NyNy (which I don't think is on your list). All 3 of those are at good locations, had good eating and shopping places, and were neat hotels.

I go to vegas usually 4 to 10 times a year. I like the Wynn and Caesars Palace in that order.

Happy New year....

Gotta do the breakfast buffet at Paris then! It is wonderful!!!

I have stayed at Paris and Treasure Island both are very nice. The Venietian is way on one end of the strip.

But I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at the Bellagio

I second the breakfast at Paris it is wonderful! I also like it much better then TI

I would chose The Mirage for location, comfort factor, pool, great casino and not stuffy like some of the others ! I would pick Caesars as second choice and Paris or Luxor as my third choice and a definate no to Excalibur !

great fyi...am taking down notes... :cloud9: it coming!
