We just went to Vegas Dec. 17-21, we stayed at the monte Carlo for $35/night. It was very cheap! We flew on Spirit for about $125 round trip (it was a major deal we found last minuite, it was teh only reason we went to vegas in the first place.)
I don't think I'd stay at the MC again but if you sign up for emails at the different hotels you can find an amazing deal. They will send you specials and codes for percentages off.
We rented a car using a code I found on the Transportation board here and we got an economy car for $62 for 3 days. We drove to the West rim of the Grand Canyon, where the skywalk is. Those tickets were about $70 per person.
In total we spent about $600 in travel, accommodations, tickets and car. Food was another $100-200.
