Can you please tell which hotel is the best as far as one located in the center of the strip, that is also clean and modern and finally reasonably priced. I know this is asking a lot, but I have been looking at sooooo many hotels and while I was set on one, another comes up. So I am looking for some expert answers that I know I can get here. We are going in April. Thanks popcorn::

Try Treasure Island. They are beginning a room remodel that will be completed in August and by April some of the rooms should be done and their midweek rates shouldn't be too scary. It is across from the Venetian, the Wynn and the Fashion Show Mall, plus the Mirage is next door and with Caesars on the other side of Mirage you can't beat the location.

Thank You. Thats actually one of the ones that came up as very recommended. I didn't think it was "up to date" but since you say they are remodeling that should be nice. Any room to request or ask for, you know with the "$20 trick"? popcorn::

I like Harrahs- clean, moderate price, central location. Thats my vote.

That was actually suggested by my boss. I just hope SW is going to come out with some good rates for air. That right there can be a deal breaker. popcorn::

TI's architecture is such that their south facing rooms have an incredible strip view; you are looking over the front of The Mirage and directly in your line of site is Caesars, and all the properties on that side of the strip. If you make the reservation yourself, ask the agent to put the request on your reservation. If you go through a wholesaler like Southwest Vacations, then try the $20 trick when you check in.

Harrahs corporate side has actually gotten some bad press here in Vegas with remodeling rooms at The Rio and at Harrah's without getting permits for things like 220 wiring for jacuzzi tubs and drilling holes from one floor to another for electrical conduits without properly sealing them. A few months ago Harrah's actually had over 400 rooms "off the market" so they could bring them up to code. I think there's still 2 floors of suites at The Rio that still have not re-opened to the public due to un-permitted remodeling. Maybe everything is fine now, but it's hard to think they would put themselves in this position when they own the property in Vegas (Bally's) that had the worst US hotel fire ever.

That's my vote too. We like it, can walk everywhere (even down to NYNY). We also like the Starbucks and Toby Keith's I Love This Bar restaurant as well, they're on the 2nd floor.

I like Harrahs and Ballys. Great locations! Clean rooms and nice staff.
