Larry Dotson question

Hi.

I think I had gotten the link to this artist from the disboards and am hoping that someone on this board will be able to direct me. I'm wondering if the stores on property sell his prints and which ones.

I've seen prints at the AK, AKL and POR but am not sure if they were by him as well.

When I went to his site I saw prints for Epcot but I don't recall seeing them anywhere. The prints in the AKL are (at least still back in Jan04) in the store on your right as you enter Discovery Island and are facing the Tree of Life. They were right in the door then immediately inside the door on your right.

I'm going in a few weeks and would like to add a print or two to my shopping list When I had seen prints for the 1st time back at POR I had wanted to start to get prints of my fave places in the park. And I just love the one Larry Dotson has of the French bakery.

Anyways, any suggestins on where to find them on property? I really appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi Diane

On his website it states he makes appearances at AKL on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Fri/Sat of the month in the evening.

As far as where the Epcot prints are sold, not sure , so I sent him an email from his site and I will let you know what he says.

I have many of his works. You can get them at Animal kingdom Lodge in the gift shop at any time. He does make appearances there on the days listed on the site. I do not think he has done one of Port Orleans Riverside. The only resort I have seen is AKL.

You can also find the American one with the eagle in the shop at the American Adventure in Epcot.

When I spoke to his wife at the Flower & Garden Festival this year she said he is working on the next Epcot pavilion, but for the life of me I forget which one.

Thanks EpcotKilterFan! I'll look at the American Adventurefor that one. I might have to wait till Oct2005 to get back to the AKL. Only can talk hubby into that resort and he's already said we'll be back next Oct. Can't wait. Though I'm sure we won't be suffering to badly at the Pop in a few weeks *grin*

You can just pop in for a visit! Long enough to run in and buy some prints

Pop Century is where I will be on my next stay also ($49 a night with the postcard can't be beat!)

My parents will be with us and I've already suggested thatDad who hasn't seen the AKL needs to *wink* I dragged Mom there this past January because I wanted to see if they had the jean jackets they had back in Dec2003. But they didn't. It had looked so nice, the logo with the denim. It was a nice match. *sighs sadly over the loss of the jacket*

That is my fave resort now and for trips for me and hubby alone, we will stay there. But when traveling with others I get out voted but hey it's Disney can't go to badly now can we *vbg*

I think that you should "accidentally" get on the wrong bus from a park one day.
