Just got back from the "Largest Scrapbook store in the US". It is right by my house! It has a ton of stuff and the largest collection of Disney products I have ever seen!
Yeah!!!

What is the name of this store? It sounds awesome and I wish I lived near you now! LOL...Too cool! :)

It is just called "Scrapbook Warehouse".
It opened w/ no fanfare. My DH saw it even before I did. Texas, and especially the Dallas area has a lot of scrapbookers (OK, probably not what they/we are called).
They have a very large area for cropping there, probably 20 tables at least.
I am SO excited!!! Just had to share.
Now back to your normally scheduled program...

That is awesome M&M's Mom! Sounds like a wonderful place for a scrapper!! :):)

Flower Mound, that's not too far away. I may have to take a look some day. Can you give street/intersection info so I can find it?

I think I shoud get on the next plane (LOL) and check this place out.

I saw it and have been meaning to check it out. Are you talking about the one in Lewisville by Vista Ridge Mall?

Robin, it is right on I35 by Best Buy if it is the store I saw.

Maybe we'll have to start planning crops there :)

Edited:

I found the website Scrapbook Warehouse

I am so jealous. Just take a look at the pictures of the place. It looks awesome!!

The crop area is open to anyone! No charge and plenty of space. Looks like it would be a good place to do some scrapbooking together if we wanted. :)

I live about 5min away so sounds good to me. I want to go to BestBuy today so maybe I'll see if they are open.

Hmmm I see a road trip from Oklahoma to Texas coming on!!

Wonder if they'd drive mom to Tx for Mother's Day :)

Road trips are good. :) Especially for scrapbooking. And it looks like for me it's only about 20 miles or so. I think I can handle that.

I'll be in Frisco in June!!! I'm sure my SIL has it on our list of places to go scrapbook shopping!! The Dallas area has some really great scrapbook stores. I'm so excited! Thanks for the link!

Wouldn't a scrapping party be a blast! A DIS meet and a scrapping at the same time.
Yes, it is next to Best Buy at Vista Ridge. I was so surprised I had not even heard anything about it opening.
My DH was so funny yesterday! He never would think about going to a shop like before but yesterday was "Do anything Mom wants to do w/out complaining day" so we hoped in the Yukon XL and went to the plant store (where he really wanted to go anyway) and off to Snuffer's for hamburgers and massive amounts of cheesefries. After lunch we hit the scrapbook store and even my DH kept saying "Wow!", "Wow!" every time he went around a corner. I had to laugh. My 2 DD's, 3 and 6 were pretty excited too. They have a section of the store set up w/ a TV for little ones.
Let's meet there sometime for a crop!

I dropped by after a disappointing trip to BestBuy to look at digital cameras. They don't have a very good selection, 24 months w/ no interest sounded great especially since I've got an empty BestBuy card but they only had one camera I was interested in. I may go to another store so I can compare there and then back if I decide on that one.

Back to the scrapbooking store! I did find lots of the new sandylion Disney stickers, they even had a Tinkerbelle that is great but the roll only had one left.

It looks like a great place to crop. The setup is really nice, looks like comfy chairs and drink holders at each table. We'll definately have to plan on that. It would be nice to crop somewhere that if you need a paper or sticker chances are you'll find it right there!

Maybe I can come down sometime when you guys are going to crop? That'd be a blast! I'd love it.

Holy Crap! ..errr I mean..Holy Scrap Book store!

My LSS, which is 30 mins away is about 1200 Sq Ft and I usually spend 1-2 hours when I go just looking at all the stuff! I would need to schedule a whole day if I went to that one! Oh, and I would be like TOTALLY broke too! :p

We drove by it yesterday on the way to a golf tournament. We were stuck in traffic, and I just happened to look over and see a sign that looked like it had scissors on it. Of course it peaked my interest, when I realized what it was I yelled out and startled DH. (Guess I blew my chances of stopping) By the time we started home it was closed. I would've like to have at least looked in the windows. We're going back Sunday though, I hope I can swing it. At least this time I'll get DH to get off the highway and let me window shop.

Candi, if you get to shop let us know what you think. I'm wondering if we should make a stop there when we go to the Great American Scrapbook Convention. How far would it be out of our way? I'm terrible with directions when I go to Texas. I rely on my friend Jacque to keep us on track.

I guess it depends on how you come down.
The store is right on I-35 in Lewisville.
If you come from OKC down 35 perfect, but if you come down 75 it is not so convenient.
There is a way to cut across around Gainesville. I think....

The only problem I can think of is the time, the hours are 10-8 so if you stop there you wouldn't get to the convention until pretty late. You might be able to catch it on the way home, it's about 45min from the convention site. Traffic might be an issue if you are leaving Arlington at 6pm though.

It would be right on your way from Norman, if you take the 121/360 route to Arlington you would be taking the same exit as you would for the store.
