Hello all!! Couple quick questions. 2nd trip back to Disney next month and SOOO excited!! When we went last year I was quite a big bigger then I am now. I have lost 158LBS....was in size 5x and 6x's then and fit in everything but a few things and those I didn't try. I'm now in 3x's and hopefully will be a little smaller when going at the end of November. Here's my questions.....

The rides I didn't try were Seven Dwarfs mine train, space mountain and K rapids in Animals kingdom b/c I was so scared of the walk of shame. What is a safe size to know if those rides are possibility this time around?

Thanks so much for the help ahead of time!

Jamie

It is hard to say just based on clothes sizes because every 3X is different. I don't know about Kali as I've never heard of problems with that one. I think you'all probably be okay on Space and 7DMT might or might now work. That is the only ride I've ever had anyone I've gone with say they were uncomfortable on.

I'm 5'6, 339 now hoping to be around 300 when going evening portioned I've come so far I just don't want to do the walk of shame :( but also don't want to let my little girl down either :/ she rode the 7DMT with my husband last year and she LOVED it and now all she's talked about is riding it with me this time.

I wish you the best on your journey and hopefully it will work out. Seems you are on a good path so hopefully it will be good. 7DMT usually is the person's thighs because it is the U bar. That is what makes it so hard and the molded seat.

space mountain
On Space Mountain, the second or third row of each car might be better for you than the first. Even though there isn’t a seat in front of you in the first row, the V shape of the first row of each car limits legroom. In the second and third rows, you spread your legs and put your feet to the side of the rider in front of you. Plus having the seat in front of you gives you something to use to get in and out of the seat.

I can't comment on the other coasters, but I'm 5'7 and 160, and found the 7 Dwarves to be a tight squeeze with no legroom. Most of my height is in my legs, but I'm not even that tall.

So much on these rides depends on proportions. It's hard to say if weigh XX pounds or are a size XX you will or won't fit. I've found some of the reports at allears gives actual measurements (chest, waist, thighs, etc.)

I've read everything from 140 pound people feeling squished to 240 pound people feeling fine. I really want to try this so I'm hoping I'm ok (I did fit on the harry potter rides at Universal and I can't imagine after the brouhaha on those that the mine train would be worse.)

I did find this picture of the 7 dwarfs restraint to give you an idea of what to expect:

Don't really know about ride sizes but just wanted to congratulate you on the weight loss so far, that is amazing, you should be very proud.

I do hope with all that effort you put in you are able to ride the ones you want to; and best of luck with the continued weight loss. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

You are amazing! Congratulations on your weight loss and continued success!

I hope you rock that ride and I plan to do the same in December for the first time ever. Haven't been since it's opening.

I've done disney between 300-320#, probably about a size 30,mpear shaped, I was able to ride ecerything ( I didn't try astro orbiter or space mountiain) but pretty much everything else. Just stay away from Universal...lol I'm going to try universal again before our disney xmas break trip. I weigh around 220 now so hopefully can make it on a few more rides.
