I was just looking at pics of 'Ohanas.
I noticed the food is served in bowls on what looks like a "lazy susan."
For a larger party of 9, would there be more than one "lazy susan" on the table??

I am assuming YES only because I saw several large parties there when we were there and remember seeing they had food all up and down the mid of the table.

If not you can ask them for more Lazy Susans if need be

I always found everyone at the Poly and WDW to be very accomodating!!

except that pool bar guy but oh well

They did when we saw large parties. If they don't automatically, just ask.

We've been to 'Ohana's with a group of 10 and we had two lazy susans. I can't remember if they did that automatically or we asked for it, but it didn't seem to be a problem. They kept the food coming every time we asked for a refill of something (especially the wings!!).

We have been with a few larger parties and they make sure that there are enough dishes so that everyone can reach one fairly easily.

That picture must have been from before the new menu changes late last year. They have eliminated the Lazy Susans and they now serve the meal "Family Style" in bowls. So for example, you will get a bowl of salad and a bowl of shrimp, a platter if chicken wings, and a bowl of wontons etc.
There will surely be enough for a party of 9 and you can ask for more as you need it.
Enjoy

I was part of a large group in December and we had several bowls of everything on our table - and as many refills as we wanted!

Please excuse my ignorance, but I thought 'Ohana's was a buffet??

Meals at 'Ohanas are served "family style." The food is brought to your table and you are more than welcome to ask for seconds. :thumbsup2
Here is the dinner menu:

Starters

Fried Wontons served with peanut sauce, chimichurri sauce and harissa
Mixed greens with a honey-lime dressing

Appetizers

Spicy-sweet and sour shrimp
Honey-coriander chicken wings

Skewers
Prepared over an oak fire

Marinated Sirloin Steak
Asian Barbecue Pork Loin
Mesquite Grilled Turkey
Hawaiian Pork-sausage with pineapple terriyaki glaze

Accompaniments

Maui Scalloped Potatoes
Stir-fried Vegetables

Dessert

'Ohana bread pudding a la mode with Bananas Foster Sauce

Ohana's was IMO the best place I ate during my trip last year. Excpet for some of the food being a little cold and even then it was still tasty. THe wings and the scalloped potatoes were the 2 best things going there.

We were a group of twenty for breakfast last month and I think there were five platters. I know they were good about refilling and the chef came out to take a special vegetarian request from my niece.
