Large party dining reservations?

We are going to WDW with extended family - 2 other families to be exact. I would like to start booking our dining soon. What's the easiest way to book for 12? Do they all need accounts so the reservations are linked or do I just add everyone to my account and do it that way?

I make any reservation you can on their website. Keep in mind any restaurant that shows no availability may only be because you will need to call the restaurant directly. Just call WDW call center and ask for the direct number. Now, cast member may ask to attempt to make the reservation over the phone and then it will show as not available. Just tell CM that you believe your party size is the problem and ask again for the direct number.

ADRs do not need to be linked to every person in your party. Nor do you have to have everyone on your MDE account. Anyone can make a dinner ADR for as many people as they wish.The easiest way is to have one person make all the ADRs for the meals you will be doing together. Since there are some restaurants that limit the size of groups they will book online, it will probably be faster to just call Disney Dining and make the ADRs over the phone. You will probably need to be quite flexible with your times, and having a couple of back up choices couldn't hurt.

There are a couple of non Disney owned restaurants (Raglan Road, TRex etc) that have their own reservation system, or that take reservations thru Open Table. If you can't get an ADR thru Disney at one of these places, you can often get one by dealing direct. You can't do this at Disney owned restaurants.
