I am a large lady and am visiting Universal in November. Are there any rides I will not be able to ride on because of my size. I have heard there are seats out front to try, but I will be too embarresed to do that - help!

Hi Sharon,

I am a large woman, too...size 22, I rode every ride , some were tight fits, but not unbearable...I never needed to ride the big seats......Have a blast!!!!!

Don't be embarrassed to try them! They're there for your safety. I'd rather be embarrassed there then to find out while trying to get on the ride!

Go and have a ball!

The Coasters also have special restraints in certain seats. They accomodate anyone who has up to a 52" Chest size. However, I do not believe that they are available for any of the front seats.
HAVE FUN

The larger restraints are near the middle of the coaster. Ask an attendant to point you the way.

If i remember correctly there is one extra-size seat are in rows 3 and 6. they are the seats with two "seat belts". Make sure you tell the attendent you need one of those seats if your testing of the seats out front indicates you need it. on the hulk i have seen two women and one guy have to exit due to not fitting in the seat. They will have two attendents push as hard as they can to get the restraint down in to position for the seat belt.
It is a very public thing so please try the seats out front at the ride entrance.
:smooth:

My husband is a big guy. He had trouble on dueling dragons. He did fit but was uncomfortable. He did not go on again. He also went on the hulk with the same problem.

I didn't fit the seat belt at Popeye's barge, but they did have seat belt extenders right there and the operator handled it nicely.

Didn't do the coasters so I can't help you there, but everything else in both parks was fine.

...you will have the most trouble with rides that need to keep you restrained. Hulk, Dueling Dragons, Jarrasic Park River Adv, Duddley Do Right , Dr. Doom. I have a tough time with the coasters and Dr. Doom due to my chest...I never knew they had larger seatbelts until I started reading this board. Just ask the attendent if you can sit in the seats with the larger belts and you should be fine. The other rides I mentioned might be tight but you should fit. I don't know much about Suess Landing we did not ride any of the rides there last time but we plan to next time.

In Universal Studios you should be fine I don't remember having any trouble in that park, I even fit in MIB.
