Large groups like PW mostly stay at the All Stars. If you have ever looked at the maps you will see they have a seperate building for group checkins. They also have their own bus stops over there that will take them to where ever the compatition is.
Now if they want to go to the parks on their free time then they use the same buses that we do.
Also if they want to stay at other resorts ,i.e. the whole family comes with, then they usally put them in POR or POFQ since they are closer to the sports fiellds.
But of course if the families want to stay at other resorts they can always do what they want. So things can always vary somewhat.
Sometimes if you go the WDW wide world of sporrts website you can see a coming list of groups that will be using that site.
I'm wondering if anyone knows how early Pop Warner usually announces their dates. I'm planning 11/29-12/6, 2006 and if they are always there the first weekend in Dec I'm going to rethink my dates. Any help would be appreciated.
Usually they are there the first week of Dec. I was at WDW during some huge cheerleading thing in Feb and you really couldn't tell. Regardless of when they go, I'm not about to let it spoil my trip. This is also why I'm booking my stay in resorts where the players won't be. However WDW is big enough so everyone can enjoy themselves.

They are usually there the first full week of December starting on Sunday, there was even talk of moving it this year to the second week. It may only effect your last couple days.

I would just leave Ohio earlier and come home earlier. I won't go any later in Dec to avoid holiday crowds. We went in June during the Gay Pride Weekend and that didn't affect us much. I was able to locate their schedule and planned to avoid the crowds. I would just like to enjoy Disney at Christmas with out extra people if possible.
Pop Warner is the first full week in Dec. (4th-10th I believe). They are staying at the AllStars with Pop and POR as overflow. Some families do upgrade, but most stay Value or Moderate due to discounts they recieve. They will be in the food courts and the pool early and late, but they won't be in the parks in big groups because they'll be playing and practicing. You'll see them, but they won't be overwhelming, except at the resorts.
Don't let it ruin your vacation! They're just kids and that's what Disney is all about.
If you go to http://www.popwarnersuperbowl.com/ and click on forms and then click on the link for Disney 2005 it gives the package information.
According to the information the choice of hotels are the Allstar Sport and Music and Port Orleans Riverside.
The entire event runs from 12/4 to 12/10
How soon do they announce their dates? We want to go Dec 2006 (probably to POR) but would prefer not to be there at the same time as them (Sorry guys, nothing personal, but this is MY vacation too and a pool overflowing with kids and crazed food courts aren't very relaxing to me)
It's usually pretty early in the year. They have been going the first full week in December for the past few years. Heck, they might even pick another venue (although doubtful) and none of us would have to worry about it anymore!

The website already lists the 2006 pop warner superbowl as being played in Lake Buena Vista, so I think it's not going anywhere soon. No exact dates yet. I wish there were confirmation somewhere whether it's the week of December 3 or December 10. Looks like it's highly probable to be the week of the 3d, but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere.
ACE or American Coaster Enthusiasts will be having their annual convention at Disney World this year, Coronado Springs. I would expect anywhere from 400-600 people for that event. It will start Father's Day and run the whole week afterwards.
As an ACE member myself I can attest that they some are normal, but some are rather strange. Not dangerous just different.
