I seem to be the designated planner for our Feb 09 Grand Gathering @ WDW.
Our group includes 8 adults, 7 between the ages 12-17 and 3 that 5-10.
What do suggest to keep everyone happy!! (I know I will be, because I'll be at the happiest place on earth!!!!!!!!!):rotfl:

The biggest suggestion that I would have is to let everyone feel free to split up and go their own way. It really is impossible to make everyone happy and meet all needs if you try to keep a big group together. Often it is best to make some meal plans (make sure you make your reservations early) and plan to meet up for those and go your own way during the day.

heck, keeping 4 people happy is tough, best of luck. I can only see tough times for meals if you're trying to seat everyone all together, maybe splitting up into groups will make dining easier. Good places for get to gethers, around the pool, some drinks, adults mull over what they saw and the children occupy themselves in the pool, also good late night too. depending on when you're going though. ADR's can be a headache, who likes what, price and location. I'll let everyone check out the menus at Allears.net and give you a listing of what everyone is interested in, again, matching pocket books isn't easy.

Touring with a big group is also hard, manuvering thru the parks but doable but matching everyones whims is tough, time together is nice but time to tour as they want might help. Splitting up, meeting at certain places and times and cell phones are good to stay in contact. Best of luck and post your outcome.

Actually the Grand Gatherings department will help you with your ADRs IIRC. They are encouraging large groups to come so they help to make the planning process as easy as possible. Just make sure you make your ADR's as soon as you are allowed ot.

How exciting!! Take a little survey from the group especially for dining purposes..that way, when it comes time for ressies, you will have a great idea as to what they want and if there is a problem, they can't blame you:) When needing the rest during the day, let each person do what they need to do, and whoever has the small children, let them take their time when needed this rest time..I had older children in August and we still had down time every day....we all needed it:) good luck with your planning and have a very magical trip:)
